Hi everyone. I can't apologize enough for the long wait. It's been a really hard few months. I ended up miscarrying and a whole shit storm of crap after that.
As always, I own absolutely nothing, except of course for Makita and any other non-Initial D characters I've created.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Saturday afternoon - Makita's houseThe sound of the doorbell pulled Makita pit of her current task. Creating her resume.
Leaving her laptop where it is, Makita got up from her dining room table and headed down the hallway to front door.
"Is that food?" Seiji yelled from the basement.
"Yeah!" Makita yelled back and answered the door.
The young teen holding the box of sushi turned bright red at the beautiful woman who answered the door.
"Uh.. good evening miss. I uh. I have your order of sushi." He bowed down in respect holding the box up for her.
"Thank you." Makita smiled and pulled out cash as well as a nice tip for the young man.
"Here you go," she handed the boy the cash and watched his eyes widen when he saw the tip he's been given.
"Thank you miss! Thank you very much!" He smiled. He was about to turn around to leave and stopped.
"May I ask you a question?""Of course."
"Those are badass street racing cars," he looked at Seiji's Evo 4 and Makita's R34 in awe.
Makita smiled at him and looked at the boy's beat up 86.
"Thank you." Makita gestured to his car parked on the curb infront of her lawn. "You have a pretty badass street racing car yourself."
"What? That old thing?!" He pointed to his car, his eyes wide, looking completely confused.
"Yeah, that old thing." She grinned at his confused look. "That thing's a classic and I hear the legend of Akina drives an 86."
The boy's eyes lit up.
"I heard that too! But I thought it was just a rumor." His look now completely different when he looked back at his 86."I thought you said there was food?" Seiji grumbled, coming up behind Makita and looking over her shoulder.
The boy shrunk away when he saw the mean looking man behind the beautiful woman.
Makita saw the boy's reaction to Seiji and wanted to put him a ease.
"This big grump owns the Evo 4." She smiled as the boy looked in awe at Seiji, who's ego seemed to soar and barely fit in her house. Then came the let down.
"He also lost to Akina's 86," Makita chuckled at Seiji's clear deflation and smiled at the inspired ansdamazed look on the boy's face.
"No way!!" He looked at Seiji over her shoulder as if to confirm and his eyes grew as big as saucers at Seiji's crossed arms and grumbling of "why did you have to tell him that?".
"See. Doesn't matter what you drive. So long as you believe in yourself and your car, you can beat big tough guys like him." Makita gestured to Seiji with her thumb.
"Wow! I had no idea. I wonder if there's any racing teams around?" The boy pondered.
"There is. Go to the GS gas station. Ask for Iketani. Tell him Mak sent you." She smiled and winked at him.
"I will! Thanks miss! Thank you very much!"
The boy ran down her driveway, excited to get behind the wheel of his 86.
