the incident

I wake up still tired, and then I realize. Andrew is cuddling me. I'm not really that surprised though, andrew isn't conscious to know what he's doing, and even if he is it's a bit strange but not weird. Since our moms are best friends they'd make us have a lot of play dates as kids and we'd spend the night at each other's houses and we'd share a bed.
I can't lie it's comfortable to be in Andrews arms. But not comfortable enough for me to be okay with it. I get out of bed and I go to the bathroom  to take a shower. Before I start the shower I undress myself a out my hair up in a quick bun. I try to check the time on my phone but remember my phone is dead. I'm about to turn the knob to turn the shower on when the door quickly opens. Andrew is half asleep and doesn't realize I'm there. And naked. " What the hell andrew!!!" Andrew looks up and quickly puts his hands over his eyes. "I'm sorry i-" he tries to leave through the door and he bumps into the wall. Finally he finds the door and leaves.
Oh my gosh. Andrew just saw me completely naked. How am I supposed to talk to him without thinking of that awkward in countermen.
I take a quick shower and out on my clothes from yesterday.
I nervously get out of the bathroom and I see andrew holding his phone in his hands texting someone. He looks up at me, and we make eye contact I decide to break the awkward silence "did you call your dad?" It takes a while for him to put a sentence together "yeah he's on his way to pick us up." I sigh relieved to finally be able to go home. Not really looking forward to my conversation with my mother but atleast I know what I'm not going to tell her about.... " Hey I'm sorry about-" I cut him off and say it's fine so I don't have to have that conversation.
Andrews dad finally comes to pick us up and it's a silent car ride. I've known andrews family my whole life but I'm not that close with his parents.
We arrive to my house and Andrew walks me to my door. "I'll text you about the vacation later, bye lynn" he says smiling. I go inside to see my mother and father sitting on the couch looking right at me with blank expressions. I guess andrews dad texted them or something. "Where have you been kaitlynn." I guess not.
"We've been up all night worried about you" my dad says "the least you could have done was respond to our text messages" my mother says rolling her eyes. "I'm fine I've been with Andrew, we left alice's at around 10:30 and we went to our favorite dinner. Then he was gonna take me home but his car broke down. We had to push it to the hotel which we spent the night at. I was going to text ya but my phone died." I say frustrated. If  had the option of going home last night I would. Now it's awkward with andrew since the incident. I'm just going to act like it didn't happen. "Okay well we're glad you're alright. Just be careful next time." My dad says. I'm surprised I didn't get yelled at, but I won't push it, he's going easy on me.
I go up to my room and put my phone to charge. Then I go to the kitchen where my mom is washing dishes. "Hey Mom" "hey hunny what's up?" "I was wondering if me and Andrew could go to jakes cabin for a couple wand hang out" I say nervously, Im sure she'll be fine with it but I hope she doesn't think we're gonna do anything... Not PG.
"Of course you can kaitlynn, you know I love when you spend time with Andrew" she adds a wink "omg mom no. We're just hanging out" I knew she was going to do this. "Okay okay, what ever you say" she does a small dance. She's never going to get over this. "Just keep me updated so I know your okay" "okay I will, thank you mom"
I go upstairs to my room to see a ton of messages from my parents and friends. I open a message from Jake saying how I'm probably "busy" with andrew since none of us were responding to his messages. I respond saying how the car broke down and my phone died. He quickly responds saying dang and how "tuff" that is. I ask him when me and Andrew are going to the cabin and he says tommorow.
I text Andrew asking him if he'd like to meet up at the park, he says yes.
