Try Again (Naruto Fanfic)

Third Person

Standing in the hokage office was Konoha 12 and their sensei's. You could see a few chunin vest among the twelve but the rest were still genin. They had all been called together for a joint mission but didn't know why, all twelve of the younger shinobi stood there as there hokage was pulling out a scroll.

"I have a joint mission for you all. Takigakure has requested that we escort one of their shinobi here, they have had problems rising in their village and has asked for a group to escort them here. But there was a problem." The hokage spoke as they looked out the window to the village. Shikamaru raised an eyebrow "What was the problem Tsunade-sama?" Tsunade looked back at the group and sigh "The problem was that the person you will be escorting said they wouldn't leave unless a certain someone was escorting them." Tsunade said with a tired sigh.

She couldn't understand why people had to be so troublesome sometimes. "I bet they wanted Sasuke-kun! Isn't that right Tsunade-sama," Sakura said as she slightly swung her shoulders and batted her eyelashes. Tsunade frown before turning around and slamming her hand on her desk shocking the young kunoichi. "No it wasn't Haruno. They wanted someone else. Not everything is about Sasuke." She spoke harshly and Sakura frown.

Kakashi, the Jonin of Team Seven sigh as he flipped a page "If the person isn't Sasuke then who was it?" He asked lazily and Tsunade shook her head "They asked for Naruto." She said simply and everyone was shocked. They asked for Naruto, out of all people. "You sure they asked for me Baa-chan?" Naruto questioned as he pointed to himself but not a second later, a fist connected to his head "You idiot! Be respectful towards the hokage." Sakura hissed and Naruto rubbed his head.

"Yes, they requested that Naruto joined this mission." Tsunade spoke and Naruto tilted his head which caused his red ponytail to sway a little "Who request for me to join anyway?" He asked and Tsunade smiled "I believe you should know them. They always say 'lucky' whenever they finish there sentence. Similar to your tick." Tsunade said as she dropped a few hints. "Lucky?" Naruto mumbled as he tried to think of who says something like that until a image of a certain kunoichi came in his mind.

"FU?!" He asked excitedly and Tsunade smiled and nodded her head "Yes, Fu is to be escorted to the village and she request that you join. Since you both have a lot in common and know each other it should make this a smooth sailing." Tsunade stated and Naruto nodded as he rested his hands behind his head. "How long will this mission last?" Kurenai asked and Tsunade rolled her shoulders back.

"Without stopping, you should all be there tomorrow morning. But with rest then I should say, tomorrow afternoon near evening." She concluded and everyone nodded. Before Tsunade could say something else, a ripple appeared next the hokage desk. Jumping from her seat, Tsunade got into a battle stance as well as everyone else in the room. Screams of agony and pain could be heard as the ripple came a part a solid ghost came through.

The moment the ghost was fully through the ripple disappeared and the ghost bowed "Good morning everyone. Is Senju Tsunade and Uzumaki Naruto here?" The ghost asked and Tsunade frown "What do you want with me and my god child? Who are you?" Tsunade asked sternly and the ghost looked at her "I assure you I am not here to hurt you, I am here to deliver a message to you both." The ghost reassured and Tsunade frown before slowly standing straight, she nodded to her shinobi and they also straightened up.

"Speak." Tsunade spoke sternly and the ghost nodded "I am merely a messenger from the Shinigami." Naruto raised an eyebrow "You mean the death god or what not?" Naruto asked and the ghost nodded "That explains your appearance and how you got here." Shikamaru mumbled and the ghost nodded "Yes, it does. I apology for surprising you all and believing that I am an enemy but I assure you. I am already dead and I am a messenger." The ghost stated and Asuma sigh. "Can you get to the point on why you were sent to my village. And why you want me and Naruto." Tsunade said impatiently.
