I was watching netflix when I got a call from someone,

'Incoming call from Mrs.Yee'
accept    decline

"Yes, Mrs. Yee?"

"Hello, Ms. Y/l/n. I called to announce that you didn't get the part, you're qualified to be the Janet, and you were almost there but the Director changed his mind. I'm deeply sorry, Ms. Y/l/n," She then ended the call as a tear fell from my cheek,

I quickly wiped it off,

'Don't let their decision make you give up, you've been dreaming for this ever since you were 13!' I thought, cheering myself up,

"What's up?" I looked at mom as she sat on the couch beside me,

I looked at her,

"Sweetie.. Did you not get the part?" She asked with full concern,

"It's okay Mom, they're the one who's at loss, it's their fault for not letting a talented to-be-actress like me showing off in the movie," I proudly said as we both laughed together,

"Oh, you." She laughed more harder,

We stopped laughing after a while and she stood up,

"Let's go, dinner is ready!" She went into the dining room and I followed,

"Justin isn't here yet?" I asked as I sat down,

"He won't be coming home until friday afternoon, he's busy,"

"He's always busy," I laughingly said, trying not to sound rude,

"Well? That's the life of having a brother as a actor. Eat up,"

I then started to eat,

"I'll do the dishes tonight," I said after finishing my food as I stood up and went to the sink,

I saw my Mom nod and left her dish beside the sink,

"I'll be upstairs,"

"Okay," She then went into her room,

I opened my phone and went into spotify,

'Why of all songs?' I asked knowing no one will answer me,

I just shrugged it off and started washing,
