Light shines through the fabric and onto my face. I rub my eyes and realize that Peter's arm is still wrapped around my body. Turning to the side, Peter shuffles a bit and holds me tighter. His messy dark hair drapes over his peaceful face. I softly brush the hair out of his face and whisper, "Good moorrniinnggg." Peter's eyes slowly open and a small smirk appears on his face. "Good morning darling," he says sweetly. He wraps his arms around me, pulls me close, and gently kisses me. "Stop!" I laugh sarcastically.
"What is going on here?!" Magnolia says pulling back the entrance to our tent, Rosemary standing right behind her giggling. I quickly push myself away from Peter and sit up in the tent. "Explain?!?!" shouts Magnolia looking between us. "She was cold and asked me to sleep with her," says Peter quickly sitting up next to me. "Shut it Peter, I didn't ask you! I know what you men want from us!" shouts Magnolia starting to pull on my arm. "Stop Magnolia, he's telling the truth," I say pulling my arm away from her. "He's hypnotized you with his charm!" she says pushing Peter away by his face. I roll my eyes and push Magnolia away.
"What were you two doing!" she repeats, "ARE YOU WITH CHILD?!?" My face turns red and I quickly respond, "NO! NOTHING HAPPENED!" I grab Peter by the hand and pull him out of the tent. "I knew it! You like him!" laughs Rosemary, jumping up and down. "So what if I do!" I say back, starting to chase Rosemary around the unlit fire pit. I see Peter start to blush out of the corner of my eye and I almost trip. "Ugh, Daphne, you know that's not allowed, if father knew!" shouts Magnolia, "And Peter, you should know better, I thought you were a good one!"
"I am sorry your majesty," Peter says laughing lightly. "It's my fault completely," I say out of breath walking back towards them, "I asked him to come into the tent." Magnolia glares at me and Peter while Rosemary is jumping up and down and smiling. "Well, would you rather have had your sister freeze to death in the cold?" Peter smirks. "Well... no. Fine, you did something right, once. Peter, I swear if you even think about touching my sister again," Magnolia says pushing Peter aggressively. He stumbles back but just smirks.
"Magnolia, calm down." I say while Rosemary starts to twirl around in her nightgown, pretending she was dancing with someone, "Remember, he is the only reason we're allowed out." "Yes, that is why he is taking advantage of this situation," she says crossing her arms and marching off. I roll my eyes and smile at Peter who smirks back. I crawl into my tent and grab the three maid's dresses. The dresses are a bit wrinkled from travel but I crawl back out and throw two at Rosemary and Magnolia.
"Wear these, I borrowed them from some maids," I say as they give me confused looks. "You're in love," Rosemary laughs while running into her tent with the dress, followed closely behind by Magnolia who was still glaring at Peter. "Peter start packing up, I'll be back," I say crawling into the tent. The maid's outfit is a plain blouse and maroon skirt, with a tan apron. I slip the outfit on, brush my hair, and apply some light makeup. Finally, I pull my hair into a bun and come back out of the tent.
Almost everything is packed away and Peter starts to work on Rosemary and Magnolia's tent. They are wearing almost exactly what I am wearing but Rosemary's has a pale blue skirt and Magnolia's has a dark green skirt. Peter looks up and smiles at me. "Peter, get changed. We'll finish up here," I say as he proceeds to quickly climb back into the tent. I place my case on top of the carriage and help pack up the rest of the tent.
Peter crawls back out in a brown suit with his hair combed back. He looks rather handsome in anything he wears. Peter packs up my tent and picks up the rest of our stuff. "What about breakfast?" Rosemary says holding her stomach. "Oh yes, we will eat while we're riding, we should have some crumpets and jam in a bag somewhere," I say, climbing the carriage and checking the bags. "This should be it," I say grabbing a sack but it was empty. "Oh no."
