Teresa came bursting into Dylan's room with a tray of hot pockets and everything bagels. "HELLO DYLAN MY LUV DIDN'T NOTICE YOU COMING INTO THE KITCHEN TO-" she stopped herself, then noticed Dylan with their bloodshot eyes, tears at the brim of her lower eyelids, and their head hanging from her hands at her forehead. Dylan looked at her, eyes suddenly blinking out of surprise. They sniffed and wiped a tear away.
"Dylan, you ok? What happened you wanna talk about it?" Teresa said with a hint of worry and demand. She walked to their bed, and sat the tray on the nightstand. "What's making you cry so bad that you can't even accept hot pockets? They're HOT POCKETS-" "I can't do math." "Well math is stupid and I say we get out of this room because no one has even seen you in the living room! How about we get out of here and get some boba then we'll solve this together k? My treat." Their once playful and bitter banter, now in a comforting warm matter with a glowing smile.
Dylan looked to the side and back at Teresa with a hesitant expression. They gave a soft sniffle. "Alright." They said with a smile. A few minutes later both of them hopped into the car and Teresa texted the groupchat.
