As we walked home I leaned against Sasuke for support. Getting the hint he wrapped his arm around me. Ducking down so he could whisper in my ear, “Do you want me to carry you?”

I looked up scrunching my face at him, “Like you could even carry me at this point. By some miracle I even fit in the dress Hinata had picked out for me.”

Sasuke laughed picking me up bridal style without much effort. Placing a quick kiss on my forehead, “But your glowing more than ever. The closer we get to spring the more beautiful you become.”

I playfully smacked at his chest, “You’re only saying that because I’m your wife. That and because you know better than to say that I’m fat scared I’ll go all hormonal pregnant woman on you.”

“No I’m saying that because it’s the truth. Your hormones have nothing to do with it. In my eyes you’ll always be beautiful.”

I leaned my head against his chest feeling my eyelids becoming droopy. I really was tiered. Letting my eyes close I snuggled deeper in Sasuke’s arms. Sleep didn’t take long to take me.

                                                                                                                          Sasuke’s POV

I stared down at Rika who had fallen asleep in my arms as I carried her back to our home. I knew she wouldn’t have lasted much longer. Her due date rapidly approaching now. The doctor had told her that she was to be on bed rest for the last month of her pregnancy but she wouldn’t listen. She insisted on making sure that she was by Hinata’s side going with here to see every last detail of the wedding.

Everyday having Naruto call me telling that she had fallen asleep on their couch the moment her and Hinata had returned. It had turned into a daily routine I would go pick her up the moment I would return from my missions. If not I would ask Naruto to watch over her for me when I left for long missions.

Every time I left for several days I was always snapping at everyone. Most of the other shinobi refused to work with me. Kakashi was the only who would put up with me. Mostly because he enjoyed teasing me every chance he got about my impatience to return to my wife. Telling me things would soon change once the twins were born.

I mostly just shot him the death look I reserved specially for him. But now that Rika’s due date was any day now. Kakashi had offered to take my missions for the next two months so I could be by my wife and out of his and every other shinobu ninja’s hair.

I carried Rika up the stairs and to our bedroom once we reached home. She didn’t so much as stir as I placed her on the bed covering her with the comforter. She really was tiered she most likely wasn’t going to get up until tomorrow morning. I sat next to her brushing the stray strands that had found their way across her cheek.

A light knock at the door broke the trance I had found myself in. I sighed glancing towards the door, “Come in.”

Rika’s younger sister Emiko popped her head in. She glanced at her sleeping sister than back at me, “Um sorry to bother you but Father has requested your presence at the Nakamura house.”

I glanced down at a sleeping Rika sighing as I got up from the bed. I placed a kiss on her forehead as she mumbled something under her breath burying herself deeper into the comforter. I chuckled as I walked away she was like a little child when she slept.
