When I was pealing the fruits, I heard a voice, "Hannah". It was green man's voice. I could easily recognise. I looked around surprisingly. I kept on looking everywhere until my aunt shouted,"what's going on with you". "nothing", I replied and started pealing the fruits. I heard the voice again, "Hannah, come upstairs". "are their clothes on the top floor" I asked aunt. She gave me a scary enquiring look, and "yes, go and take them". I went upstairs. I went closure to the railings and I saw his huge, unusually sparkling eyes. He was gazing at me and I too was looking at him. I heard his voice again "You want a job,, what else you wish for". My eyes were wide open. He said again "answer me". I said to myself, "how can I answer, how would he hear my voice". Voice said, "I would hear it". I didn't knew what I should do while he was still looking at me. Soon he disappeared. My aunt shouted "you have frozen above there". "No" I said and walked downstairs. I completed all my work and went to sleep. While I was lying down, I just had this thing on my head, was that green man's voice or the voice of my own mind, soon I heard melodious chirping of nightingales which put me into deep sleep.
**Next morning.
When I woke up, there was freshness all around. I had a very deep sleep. It have recharged me completely. I felt energetic. The sun was already high in the sky. I smiled at the sun, clouds sand, bushes almost everything. Soon I woke up from the euphoria and realised it was already past noon. I rushed to pick up my sword and ran towards the castle. How will master react to this kind of unpuntual behaviour, I felt all my dreams have been shattered, I cursed the green creature. I was running, I hit into a kid. I looked if he was ok and it was the youngest prince. "Highness, how are you here" I asked. He kept crying. There was a heavy rush at this time in the town. I pucked him up hid his face and ran straight to the kingdom. I found out that king is on tour of the town. So I headed to the minister and safely handed him over. I was going to our practice area. Ready to ask master saviour for punishment inspite of just putting me out of the army. When I reached there I found out that just few seconds back he went to home as he was having a stomach ache. I took a breath of relief. So it was a half for all of us. I was going out one of the queen's servent came and said that queen wants to see me. I said "I am in army, I am not one of queen's maids, are you sure she wants to see me only". He said "yes, Hannah, I know all this". "okay" I replied. We went to queen. She said "Hannah, today you have saved our child, the minister also told me that your father is a martyr. I want to offer you to become a protector and carer of the young prince. The king and prince went for a tour of town. When they were visiting a shop, the prince got lost. We have all being searching for him. All you have to do is to take care of his meals and protect him wherever he goes. I have heard you are training for our army, it would be always safe for the prince if you being around". Without even giving a second thought I appalled with happiness "yes, your highness, it would be my pleasure, I am glad to be a protector of the prince". She smiled and said "firstly you go home and tomorrow come to us neat and tidy in a gown". I bowed at her and went out.
Reaching home I took out my mother's old gown, did some stitching, washed it properly and went to the backyard to hang it to dry . I heard green man's voice, it said "are you happy now". I looked around and I saw him gazing at me with his big eyes. I went closure and said "were you saying something". I heard "yes, Hannah, I see youare happy now". He didn't even moved his lips a single time. I said, "are we talking". "yes, you can put it like this. By the way" his voice said. "do you want to come with me" and he led forward his hand. So this was an actual conversation going on,I realised and kept my hand in his. I looked into his eyes, like a gateway to his soul, which said a thousand things I couldn't understand. We walked into the dark woods, a small fireflies led our way, nightingales were singing melodious tones. I was feeling sleepy those voices were drowning me. I sat down by a tree and said I want to sleep. He nodded.
**I woke up early that morning, I found was on a bed made of roses. I looked around. The green man was sitting on ground looking at me. I asked, you have made this? ". His voice said," umm, yes". "why can't you talk normally instead of this weird stuff you do" I asked. "I am not habitual to this, its a wastage of energy" he replied. I didn't completely understood what he said although. "so what are you, definitely you are not a human" I asked. "I am a human only but more advanced then you or less advanced, I don't know exactly " he said. "umm, okay, green man. I have to get ready for palace today" I said. He said, "I know,". I started walking towards home. I said "how do you have all information about me". "aren't you late" he said. "yes, " I started running and shouted a goodbye.
