Chapter 5

September 3, 1993- Hogwarts

Delia woke up still in her office chair, it is almost 9 am. She missed the feast last night and dinner. She walks back into her room to get ready for the day and eat since she hasn't eaten since lunch yesterday.

Finally dressed for the day, Delia's case starts shaking and a niffler pops out and starts running around the living room grabbing little nicknacks and sickles laying around. Cordelia shrieks and starts to chase after Pippa the niffler, after five minutes of chasing she has an idea. In a pocket on the case, Delia grabs a sickle on a sting, dangling it over the case, Pippa runs over and hops in to grab the sickle. Just in time Delia closes the case and lets out a breath she didn't know she was holding.

She walks out to her office and looks at her schedule for the day. The classes she has are the fourth and third years before lunch and the fifth years after. Delia makes sure her room is in order and grabs a cup of tea before settling down in a desk in the front of the classroom.

The fourth years started arriving, it was some Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs. They settle into the tables around the room and a few try to look into the magical creature enclosures.

"Hello, I am Professor Scamander. I am here to help you with homework and provide you with access for things you need for your classes." Everyone looked up to her with surprise and a few whispered, "yes that does mean I can give you access to the restricted section in the library."

Lots of kids have mischievous smiles on their face, while one student shakes her head. The one Ravenclaw girl raises her hand, "Yes Ms...?"

"It's Cho Chang, I was wondering why they added a new position here at Hogwarts."

"Well Cho, I actually don't know, but I am happy to take the job and help the students that need it." Cho Chang nods her head in understanding, "Well, pull out your homework and I can come around and help you all."

All of the students start pulling papers and books out of their bags and get to work. Sometimes the students have questions, but mostly she just sat at her desk reading until someone had a question. Finally class was over and Delia was expecting her third year Gryffindors to come in at any minute. First to class is Hermione who quickly makes her way to the front of the room and sits down. Following are a few more students she doesn't recognize. Then Neville sits with Hermione right as Harry and Ron run into the room and sit down at an empty table.

"Is this everyone?" The students look around and nod, "Well nice to meet you all, I am Professor Scamander, but I realized that can be a mouthful so you can call me Delia or Scamander."

The class nods and a few look confused on why their teach want them to call her by her first name.

"I am going to help you all with homework and give access to the restricted section in the library." Again, their eyes widen, "But only for educational purposes and I will find out if it is not used for that. Well, you all are going to pull out any work you need to do and I will be here to help you if needed."

All of the Gryffindors pull out their work, after a few minutes Neville raises his hand.

"Yes Neville?"

"I heard that we are learning about puffapods this year in herbology, do you happen to know anything about them?"

"I actually have a few books on them I can get for you, a puffapod produces large pink seedpods full of shining beans, which flower when they came into contact with any solid object." Delia walks towards the bookcase as you can hear the students quickly writing down the information she is giving. "What else is on your course sheet?"
