September 2, 1993- Hogwarts

The stars from above turn into the beaming sun, slowly coming up and shining on Cordelia's face. The alarm rings loudly, which makes Lockett fall off her nightstand. Delia gets up and walks towards the window, she opens it and allows the cool air make its way into the room. Delia walks to the wardrobe and pulls out her outfit for the day, a funky pair of shoes and a hair tie.

She goes to the washroom, takes a shower and gets ready for the day. Making sure to lock back up her room, she leaves the classroom to go to the Great Hall. Students have already started arriving and a few teachers are missing from the staff table. Delia walks over to Hagrid who is eating baked beans.

"Hello Hagrid, are you excited for today?" Hagrid pats the seat next to him and Delia takes it, starting to make her plate.

" 'ello I sure am, I have a 'lil surprise for the students." He leans in to whisper, "a hippogriff!"

"Wait really?" Delia drops her fork which makes a loud clatter, few turn heads to see what happened then turn away. "I wish I had a hippogriff, the closest thing I've got in my case is a thunderbird."

"Oh yes, well yeh could come down an' see him if yeh want."

"Thank would be amazing, maybe over the weekend?"

"Of course." Delia smiles before they both go back to eating. More students start arriving and get their course schedules. " 'ell I mus' be off, 'ave a good day Professor Scamander!" Hagrid stands up to leave, Delia waving before he exits the Great Hall.

"Ms. Scamander, didn't expect to see you back so soon." A deep monotone voice comes from behind her. "I thought when you left your fifth year, you were gone for good."

Delia turns to see Severus Snape approaching her, "Good morning Professor Snape, I am as shocked as you are to see me back here. How are you?"

"Fine. I heard you talking to Hagrid about going to see that creature, but it can't be worse than that Potter." Delia stands after finishing the last sip of pumpkin juice and walking over to Snape. "He  always seems to find himself in trouble."

"Well I am sure Harry is fine, his friends... maybe just Hermione are there to help him." Delia laughs, Snape's expression doesn't change. "Ron seems to me like the one that would cause trouble, but I wouldn't know."

"Oh yes the muggle-born and the Weasley boy. Have a good day Ms. Scamander." Snape dramatically leaves with his cape flowing behind him.

"He's still a git." Delia huffs and a laugh is heard from behind her. She turns to see Remus standing there.

"Right you are Delia, Snivellus still is the same as he always been."

"Snivellus?"

"Oh right, that is what my friends and I called him during our school years. Glad to know though his hair got less greasy." Delia snorts which makes Remus laugh, "Do you have any classes today?"

"No, but I am going to Hagrid's class today after lunch."

"I don't have a class until after lunch, would you care to join me for tea in the kitchens?"

"Sure, why not. I can be there around 10 o'clock."

"Sounds good!" Remus leaves the Great Hall filled with nerves. To be honest, he didn't know why he did that or even how. During school he was known for being the quieter one out of James and Sirius. When he arrives to classroom, he prepares the room for his classes after lunch.

Delia starts walking out of the Great Hall until she sees a bunch of ginger boys sitting at the Gryffindor table. She walks over planning to ask Hermione about her cat, but also had a different motive to going over there. Fred, George, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny are all sitting together at the table. Hermione is sitting on the edge with an open seat next to her. Delia sits in the open seat and turns to the group.
