Its really been a week since I play this amazing new game called Fantasy World. After it was released, Its all I can think about. When the Virtual Reality head glasses called BrainWave first came out, the game store was full of Gamers buying the BrainWave along with the MMO game Fantasy World. My whole life change a whole lot. On the game you first choose your race either human, elf, giant, dwarf or dark elf. Then you pick your class like warrior, mage, archer, ranger., ninja, blacksmith etc. I chose to become an elf and picked the ninja class. For the past week, I been killing things, doing quests, talk to some players and went on some dungeons.
When I came back to school, I went to my room, wore the BrainWave on my face, connect the wire to my PC, launch the game and I dive into Fantasy World. I spawn to Newcomers Rift, where the new players spawns in for the first time and its also a place where players hang out and chat. I decided to go the Nightfall forest to kill some wolves and spiders to gain some money and experience. At Nightfall forest, I killed about 10 spiders and gain enough exp points to become level 20. I was about to head out when a fellow player yelled for my attention.
“Hey!” He called
I turned around, it was an human player. He ran up to me
“Hey, Do you know how to enter the Nightfall dungeon? I been trying to finish a quest but I have no idea know to get in exactly” He said
“Uh yeah. You need to give the wolf pelt and spider poison to the Quest giver and he’ll give you the key to the entrance” I replied
“But I did that already” He said
“Did you give it to him in the Quest Related section?” I asked
“Quest Related?” He looked dumbfound
It was clear that he was a Newbie. Newbies are the new players that don’t completely understand the games to well. I was a Newbie a week ago but I learned how the game works.
“When you talk to the Quest giver theres an option called Quest Related on it. Then it should say Give Items and you’re done!”
The Elf player scratched the back of his head laughing.
“Oh wow! Ha, How can I be so blind?” He said and we both laughed. “Thanks man. I’m Keithator”
“I’m NightShadow” I introduce back
“Man, this game is so fantastic. So much to do like hunting, exploring and all that. Its like a dream” He said
“Well that’s why its called Fantasy World dude. You can do whatever we want and you don’t have to worry about dying. This World is where I belong” I said
“Yep, Gonna enjoy it”
“Yea”
Keithator open his window and check the time
“Where is he…” He mumbled
“Hmm?”
“Oh no, its just that i'm expecting my friend to join me. I think he’s at the Newcomers Rift. I going to head there. See you around NightShadow”
He ran to the Newcomers Rift. As I was heading back to my grinding spot, a window pop up
Keithator wants to be your friend. Do you accept?
I selected yes and I see his Username in my friends list. It seems that most of my friends are online today.
After 15 minutes of grinding. I decided to go to the inn where we eat, drink, rest and chat with people. At the Inn I sat down in a chair and ask the Inn tender which is an NPC for food and a drink. I bought Cooked Meat and water. The thing with food in Fantasy World or any kind of VRMMO is that no matter what or how the food looks like, It taste like nothing. Some would say it tastes like crap. Some say it tastes like paper. To have the real taste, you need your baking skill up to at least at ranked 90. The only reason we need to eat is because our avatars need virtual food or else your health will drain out to 10 HP per 10 minutes and be low in health.
I eat the Meat and drink the water and I decided to upgrade my skills before I log out. Once I finished ranking up my skills and stats. I open the menu and selected the Log Out icon. But then a message pop up appear
Error. Logging out is unavailable
My eyes widen. I pressed the icon with my finger many times but the same message pop out again. I closed and menu and I went to a player whos sitting by himself in the Inn at the table.
“Umm Excuse me”
He turned his head and looked at me
“This might be a weird question but, How do I log out? Everytime I pressed the Log out icon, it just gives me a error message”
“Error message? Kid are trying to troll me?” he looked mad
“What! No i’m being serious. I can’t log out!”
“Whatever kid. Not buying it”
“I’m not joking!” I yelled
“Hey!” Another player said while he’s in the menu “I Can’t log out”
“Me either” another player said
“Why this piece of crap ain’t working!?”
Everyone went to a havoc. They all can’t log out. I was nervous and a little scared but then a player shout at all the players
“Hey! Calm down and listen up!” A player who’s a Giant and wears a red with black out coat grab everyones attention.
“Now we all know that we can’t logout of this game. But there’s only one situation it had to be just a bug! Probably the developers are having issue with the game so there’s no need to worry!”
Hopefully he’s right. It had to be a bug. Its not like we're stuck here forever. I would like to live here forever but I got my things to do in the Real World.
I decided to practice some of my ninja skills since my class is a ninja. it took me 30 minutes to master a skill slot. I tried open the menu to see if I can Log out but no arrival. I sat on the rock beside me wonderding when are they going to fix the bug. its already 8:30 pm and I don’t want to worry my parents. In the game it was night time and I look at the stars for a little. Then later I decided to head out to an inn and take a little nap.
Turns out I spelt though the whole night because when I check the time, it was 6:00 am. I opened my menu to see if the bug was fix. But same message. “What the heck” I muttered. “When are they going to fix it?” I keep asking myself. I don’t know what's going to happened. What if they never fix the bug and were stuck here forever. What will happen to our real life bodies? To the people we care about? Questions keep flowing to my head. I finally decided to sleep some more and hopefully, we be able to Log out after I awake up.
