The marines walked down the dark,biological path. They didn't speak,they didn't make a single sound. Because they knew that if they were found,it was over.
They had all heard stories of how the Xenomorphs would brutally kill,or drag away their victims deep into the hive.
And it were those depths they wished to find now.
A group of youths had been attacked and dragged into the depths of the Xeno hive. The marines had been sent to extract anyone who might still be alive. Though it was unlikely,you never know. Not these days.
Their helmets had been fitted with cameras so mission-control and a group of scientists could see what happened down there.
"Delta five,report." They heard over the radio.
"Nothing sir,just as dead as the grave." One of the marines responded.
They moved cautiously downwards,seeing no signs of life anywhere.
They entered a large chamber after a long walk into the dark abyss.
"This wasn't on the map!" One of the marines said.
"Keep going,wait...something is approaching,it's either the entire guard force,or the queen's out for a stroll." Another marine said as he looked at his radar.
"Shit,battle formation!" They yelled and prepared to fight whatever was coming.
"Thirty...twenty...ten...huh?..ten...twenty." The marine with the radar said as the large dot approached,and went straight past them.
They felt the ground shake slightly and a single warrior climbed down from the roof.
"There,fire!" They all fired,killing the Xenomorph instantly.
"That's wasn't much for a guard force. Even less a queen,something's off."
The ground shook heavier,and small cracks appeared beneath their feet.
"The hell?" The marines said in unison.
It felt like an earthquake,until it suddenly ended.
"The hell was that?"
"No idea,but it can't have been good."
It sounded like a bomb went off and the ground twenty meters in front of them flew in different directions as something forced its way to the surface.
The marines dropped their weapons as the enormous creature climbed out of its hole.
It was a Xenomorph warrior,but it was easily twice the size of a queen,and it was blood red,as if the blood of its prey had been spattered across its body.
The giant behemoth walked towards them,making the ground shake with every step it took.
"...fuck."

In mission-control everyone was quiet. No one could believe what they had seen.
This changed everything they thought they knew about the Xenomorphs. If warriors could grow to that size,what hope did they have?
