Chapter 2

I went home that afternoon in Yasmine's car I wasn't talking to Moon at the moment, she had almost ruined my chances of having new friends. 

Yasmine let us out at our large house and I stormed up to my bedroom, "Bella I'm really sorry for what I did what I did today" Moon said "it's just if people see you sitting with those losers" I scoffed "of course Moon it's all about you, always has been always will be" 

"What's that supposed to mean," She asked me "do you even hear yourself you don't even think of me as a sister, just as someone who can bring down your rep, just get out of my room Moon" I slammed the door on her God she was so stuck up.

I sat down and started to do some math homework when I got a call from a random number, I decided to answer it "Hello" I said "is this Bella" "uh yes, who is this" I waited for a second "this is Eli" I smiled Moon hadn't ruined everything after all "Hi Eli, what's up" "I was just wondering if you wanted to sit with us at lunch tomorrow" he asked and my smile grew wider "I would love that" "ok see you tomorrow Bella" Eli hung up. 

I was glad that Eli wasn't scared of me anymore maybe others would follow. 

I went down for dinner a couple of hours later, my parents weren't there, of course, they were always on business trips, I made spaghetti and sat down at the table. 

"Did you make some for me?" Moon asked in a timid voice "yeah it's on the stove" I replied, I hated Moon because I could never stay mad at her for long she was just so sweet sometimes. 

"I really am sorry Bella, I know you just wanted some other friends" I nodded and continued to eat my pasta "I won't do that ever again I promise" I smiled a little "Ok Moon I forgive you" she smiled and put some music on. 

Moon had really good taste in music according to me, the first song that came on was Forget me too by Machine Gun Kelly. I loved his music I don't know why. 

"Did the laker girl costumes come?" Moon asked, a few weeks ago we decided to go as laker girls for Halloween "um I think they are in the mail" I had wanted to go as some random Slytherin but Moon and Sam insisted I go as a Laker girl. 

The dance was two weeks but we always planned our costumes early. I thought about Eli for the rest of dinner he was so cute. 

I watched IT chapter two and then went to bed I could watch horror movies before bed Moon always thought I was weird for that, IT wasn't even a scary movie it should have been labeled as a comedy. 

The next morning I put my pink pleated skirt on and a white tank top. I brushed my teeth washed my face and put some makeup on.

Today I decided to drive myself to school I didn't want to put up with Yasmine's attitude, I played some Selena Gomez songs on the way to school, my heart leaped out of my chest when I saw Eli, I parked my car and walked up to him. 

"Hi," I said happily "Hi Bella" we stood there in comfortable silence for a minute and Miguel joined us "hey guys" I looked up and smiled at him "hey Miguel" for the first time in a while people didn't get scared when I walked down the hall, they still made a path for me but they weren't scared probably because I was with Eli and Miguel. 

"what the hell" Miguel said "why are they parting instantly I usually have to push my way through the crowd" I laughed "it's because of Bella," Eli said letting out a small laugh "I could get used to this" Miguel smirked 

I waved goodbye to them and went to English, today Aisha actually talked to me. We talked about the upcoming dance and our favorite fast-food restaurants. It was kind of amazing how much people had changed their idea of me in one day. 

I was excited about lunch, I walked back over to Eli and Demitri's table, I sat down next to Eli again. We had fun talking about Harry Potter. Demitri was a Gryffindor and Eli was a Ravenclaw, they were both surprised when I said Slytherin. 

Counselor Blackwood was making an announcement. "Cyberbullying is no laughing matter, sending a cruel message to someone online, can be just as hurtful as saying it to their face" Eli started to get a little fidgety and nervous "Now I'm not going to name names but the other day a mother called me because her son was crying after some kids online were making fun of his facial deformity.  

My jaw dropped, that was just as good as saying it was Eli he was the only one with a facial deformity. I clenched my fists how stupid was she, Counselor Blackwood had just made everything so much worse. I leaned over and wrapped my arm around Eli glaring at the people who were pointing at him. 

Because I am who I am everyone looked away suddenly, still afraid of what I could do to them. Eli hid his scar. I pushed his hand away telling him not to be ashamed. 

"If your sick of getting bullied my dojo is looking for recruits," Miguel said I smiled and nodded that sounded cool "yeah right you hear that Eli," Demitri said "a little Karate training, and your gonna kick some major ass" I rolled my eyes 

"I'm serious Demitri" Miguel sighed "my Sensei is the real deal and I'm sure I could get you all discounts" Demitri laughed "as enticing as that sounds I think we'd rather spend our afternoons playing crucible control than getting hit in the face" 

"I'll come Miguel" I piped up "when can I sign up" Miguel looked so excited "you can come with me after school" I nodded 

"Oh and one last thing" dear god was Counselor Blackwood still talking "while we are all looking forward to the Halloween dance let's make sure our costumes are culturally sensitive, instead of sexy nurse go for gender-neutral hospital employee" 

I burst into a fit of quiet giggles and Eli had to pat my back to get me to calm down, there was no way Sam, Moon, and Yasmine would ever go as gender-neutral. 

"Hey, Eli do you have your costume?" I asked "No not yet" I smiled and came up with a plan "Ok tomorrow after school you are coming with me to get your costume" He sighed but then agreed. I was so excited.
