You watch him as he walks down the stairs into the pool. Once he gets in half way he asks "are you gonna come in?" You give no answer to him. It's too embarrassing to say that you don't know how to swim so you say "I'll just sit here at the edge" as you sit down you can feel the coldness in the pool which gives you chills. You watch him swim away.. but he comes back. "Are you afraid of the water?" He laughs. Your heart skips a beat. You don't know what to say. You start overthinking and you think "what if I say I can't swim and he makes fun of me and doesn't like me anymore" so you just say "no, the waters too cold"
"So what's the point of me coming to your house then?" He asks
That also makes your heart skip a beat. And it was true you didn't wanna waste his time for nothing. You have to admit it.
"Truth is I cant swim"
"Well that's ok. Everyone is different. I'll hold you" he says
You've gone speechless. Your eyes glare. As you see him coming close to you, you hold out your arms so he can pick you up. The water is all the way up to your chest and you can feel the coldness all over your body. You wrap your legs around him and also your arms. He has his arms on your bottom to hold you up. You look at him straight in the eyes and smile. You look at his hair and his hair is not wet yet so, you take some water and gently pour it on his hair. You remove the hair out of his face and you both laugh. "Thank you" you say he has no answer. But he holds you tighter once you said that. You put your head on his shoulder and he puts his head on your head. You did it. You finally found someone that truly loves you.
