Namjoon is gone when you wake. You have a fuzzy memory of him kissing your cheek before slipping out of your room some hours ago. Your body doesn't ache nearly as much as you expected it to thanks to the saengmyeong. Now that you're becoming part of the family you wonder if they will share the rest of the recipe with you, you're definitely curious how it's made considering what it's capable of doing.
It's only Wednesday, but you're feeling so good you wonder if you'd be able to go into work sooner than the weekend. You send a quick text to Leo asking what the schedule is like before jumping in the shower.
You hear your phone buzz as you're toweling off.
Leo: Claire and Riahe are on for tonight. Tomorrow is Niko, Riahe, and Donny. You looking to come back soon?
You: I'm feeling a lot better, pretty sure I could handle a shift if you needed.
Leo: How does tomorrow night sound? You can be on the main bar with Niko and Riahe, just as a helping hand so you don't over do it.
You: Sounds good, I'll be in at 6.
Leo sends back a thumbs-up emoji. You toss your phone on your bed and pull on a pair of shorts and a shelf-bra tank top. You decide to knock out some unpacking while you have the motivation to do so.
Several boxes later, you're satisfied with how things are coming together. You frown at the giant stack of broken-down cardboard you now have in your room. You scoop it all up, trying to keep it together. Better take this out. You shuffle into the hallway, the cardboard half obscuring your vision.
You make it to the stairs before you hear, "Hey! Let me help you!" Taehyung quickly grabs the majority of the boxes from you, a lopsided smile on his face.
"Thank you," you weren't sure you would have actually been able to make it down the stairs without dropping something. You follow him down the stairs and through the kitchen into the garage.
He taps a button on the wall with his elbow, one of the large garage doors begins to slide open. "We have recycling out here," he stoops a bit to make it under the door as it's still opening. You follow behind him and around the side of the garage where there are a few large dumpsters.
"These are awfully big for residential use," you remark handing him the cardboard you were carrying so he can toss it in to a dumpster marked with a recycling symbol.
"There are a lot of us and I wouldn't say we are wholly residential," he smiles, closing the hatch on the dumpster.
"Not wholly residential?" You question.
"Well, yeah, we do a good amount of work here if we can't make it to the lab. Have you seen the vault yet?"
"No, not yet, JK said Namjoon would show it to me eventually."
He nods, "It'll make more sense when you see inside."
Your curiosity peaked, you wonder if you could ask Namjoon to show it to you sooner rather than later. "Where is Namjoon today?"
"Ah, probably at the lab. With the increased saengmyeong supply going out to Greece and New York, he's been trying to make sure all preparations are being made."
A silence falls between the two of you. You look around, taking in the lush and well-manicured lawn before you.
"Want to hang outside for a bit? It's really nice out, we can get a little sun before Hobi puts us through the wringer," he asks.
You nod, smiling. He clicks a button on a keypad by the garage door and it begins to slide shut. He nods his head toward the side of the house. You fall into step next to him as he continues toward the back of the house.
