When Alexis woke up on Sunday, he wanted nothing more than to go back to sleep. The twins were sprawled on the loveseat, Julian's head on Jesse's chest while their legs were falling off the armchair. Alice was sprawled out on the couch, her glasses thrown on the floor. Her mouth was wide open and some drool was falling on her cheek. Over the night, Lara had fallen down from the chair and was laying on the floor with her legs on the table. Eve was still on the chair, legs pressed against her chest.

Oliver's head was on Alexis' legs which made it impossible for him to move without waking the other up. He turned his head trying to find his phone. He found it closer to the table and bent his chest so he would take it without moving his legs too much.

Well now he was regretting not doing more side crunches in high school.

The time on the phone read ten thirty in the morning and Alexis groaned. He had only had fourteen hours left of his day and he wondered how he could make the most of it. He unlocked the phone to see a text from his father.

I'm guessing you're spending the night at Alice's. —delivered at 8:00pm

Good morning, I went out for a jog. If you don't have your keys I put the doubles in the backyard.

Alexis texted back ignoring the blue circle that indicated forty unread messages.

Good morning, I'm still at Alice's but I should be home for dinner or maybe a little later.

He switched apps and logs into his instagram. He checked his private messages, skipping over most of them. He gave up and put his phone back down. Oliver stirred on his leg and opened one of his eyes. He looked around before his eyes settled on Alexis.

"Good morning..."

He yawned, cutting off his sentence. He sat right up which set Alexis' legs free and the boy shook them to try to get the blood flowing again.

Oliver saw the movement from the corner of his eyes, "Sorry, I'll get you home. Pack up."

"It's fine, don't worry about it", Alexis dismissed his apology, "it'd be appreciated. I'm in dear need of a shower and a breakfast."

Oliver nodded putting his hood above his head. He gathered his phone, wallet and keys before stretching his back and making his way out of the basement. Alexis sent a text to Alice's phone, so she wouldn't be asking where they went when she woke up and followed Oliver out of the room. Alice's parents were sitting at the dinner table when both of them came through the door.

"Good morning boys. Are you heading back home?"

Alice and her mom looked really alike, they had the same dimples and the same hair. Their glasses frame were basically the same except that Alice's one was grey and her mothers was gold.

"Yes, we will be heading back home. Thank you for having us."

Alice's mother waved her hand and bid them goodbye.

Once they were outside, Alexis let out a breath before inhaling the somewhat morning air. Oliver unlocked the car and they both got in the 2000 ford that his parents had given him. Alexis turned the AC on while Oliver connected his phone in the cord. Oliver got out of the parking place and turned towards Alexis.

"Are you eating breakfast at your house or you want to stop by at a diner?"

"Can we go to Flying Cherry? I wouldn't mind some crepe sandwiches. I'll get one for my dad too."

Oliver drummed his fingers to the song playing on his phone and turned on the yellow light. Someone honked at them and Oliver stuck out his tongue while pulling his right eye from under. Alexis looked out the window, nodding his head along with the distant mumbles of his friend. They pulled up to the drive-thru of Flying Cherry.
