It's nighttime in Sunnydale as two people approach Sunnydale High School. One of them punches the glass and unlocks a door sneaking into the school. "Are you sure this is a good idea?" the girl asks. "It's a great idea, now come on," the boy says. "Do you go to school here?" the girl asks as the roam the halls. "I used to. On top of the gym it's so cool. You can see the whole town." "I-I don't wanna go up there," the girl says stopping him. "Aw, you can't wait, huh?" "We're just gonna get in trouble." "Yeah, you can cont on it," he says as they lean in to kiss. The girl backs away startled and turns her head to look around. "What was that?" "What was what?" "I heard a noise," she says. "It's nothing!" "Uh, uh, maybe it's something." "Or maybe it's some thing!" "That's not funny." He looks down the other hall.. "Hellooooo! There's nobody here," he says to her. "Are you sure?" "Yes, I'm sure." "Ok," she says turning back to him but not as a human, but as a vampire. She bites him as he slowly grunts and eventually sinks to the floor.
Both Lily and Buffy have visions seeing the Master's lair, a cemetery, the Master, vampires and other demons. Waking them both up. They look at each other in their temporarily shared room. "Buffy? Lily?" "We're up Mom!" the the two of us yell. "Don't wanna be late for your first day!" "Nope," I say. "Wouldn't want that," Buffy says. We get ready for school, I put on pair of black skinny jeans, a white sleeveless blouse, and put my makeup on. Our mom drives us to the front of Sunnydale High and stops. "Ok!" Buffy and I get out of the car. "Have a good time. I know you're both gonna make friends right away, just think positive," Mom says giving them two thumbs up. "Right," I say giving her a quick smile as Buffy nods her head. "And girls?" We look back at her. "Try not to get kicked out?" "Promise," we say. "Ok." The two of us face the school and let out a deep breath taking each other's hands.
"Excuse me, comin' through, parden me, excuse me, whoa! Excuse me, not sure how to stop! Please move, whoa, excuse me..." Xander yells out then see's Buffy and Lily getting distracted. "Woah.!" He stares at them and doesn't seem to notice the stair railing as he crashes into it. Willow walks up to him. "I'm ok. I feel good." She looks down at him with a smile. "Willow! You're so very much the person that I wanted to see!" "Oh, really?" "Yeah. You know, I kinda had a problem with the math." "Uh, which part?" "The math. Can you help me out tonight, please, be my study buddy?" "Well, what's in it for me?" "A shiny nickel!" "Ok. Do you have 'Theories in Trig'? You should check it out." "Check it out?" "From the library? Where the live," Willow says raising an eyebrow. "Right, I'm there! See, I wanna change..." The two walk inside and see their friend Jesse. "Hey, hey!" "Hey, Jesse, what's what?" Xander asks. "New girls! Twins!" "That's right, I saw them. Both are pretty much hotties!" Xander says excited. "I heard two people were transferring..." "So tell!" "Tell what?" Jesse asks. "What's the pitch, what do ya know about them?" "New girls!" "Well, you're certainly a font of nothing!" Xander says.
We get to the principals office and meet Mr. Flutie. He puts down our school records and walks around his desk. "Buffy and Lily Summers, sophomores, late of Hemery High in Los Angeles. Interesting records, quite a career..." He sits down and tears the records. "Welcome to Sunnydale! A clean slate, Buffy and Lily, that's what you get here. What's past is past. We're not interested in what it says on a piece of paper, even if it says...Whoa." "Mr. Flutie..." Buffy starts. "All the kids here are free to call me Bob." "Bob..." "But they don't." "I know that my transcripts are a little...colorful." "And that mine are as well..." I say. "But I did keep up with my classes and if you see at the end of the semester Buffy's grades were going up." I point out. "Hey...We're not caring about that. Do you think, uh, 'colorful' is the word? Not dismal?" "Wasn't that bad!" Buffy says. "You two burned down the gym." "We did, we really did, but...You're not seeing the big picture here..." Buffy says. "Yeah, I mean, that gym was full of vampi...asbestos." I say. "Buffy, Lily, don't worry. Any other school they might say 'watch your step', or 'we'll be watching you'...But, that's just not the way here. We want to service your needs, and help you to respect our needs. And if your needs and our needs don't mesh..." Mr. Flutie says putting our now taped records into their respective files and slams them shut. We walk out of Mr. Flutie's office and stop when Buffy needs to look for something in her bag. A group of students bumps into us making our bags fall. "Oh, sorry!" Buffy says. "That's ok." We look down at the mess. "Oh..." Xander hears the commotion and walks over to us helping clean up the mess. "Can I have you two?" I look at him raising and eyebrow. "Duh...Can I help you two?" "Thanks," I say. "I don't know you two, do I?" "I'm Buffy." "And I'm Lily. We're new." "Xander. Is, is me. Hi." "Um, thanks," Buffy says as we finish picking up the mess. "Well, uh, maybe I'll see you around...maybe at school...since we...all...go there." "Great! It was nice to meet you," I say.
