"The beast should be on its scheduled flight path soon. Once we're over Mount Shiroyama, you're tasked to capture the creature and ground him," explained the Commission agent, gripping onto one of many belts that hung inside the shuttle's interior. "We want him unharmed. The residents aren't sure if the beast is actually someone with a mutated Quirk."
"Excuse me sir, but don't the residents believe the beast is part of their history?" you questioned, slightly concerned of the situation while you unlatched yourself from your safety belt.
"Some of the older folk do, but it has been terrorising their island for the past month," explained the agent while he made his way towards one of the hatches in the aircraft cabin. "No casualties as of yet, but it has hindered their economy. The goal here is to capture the thing."
The loud hiss of the hatch opened out to the clouds that lingered over Nabu Island, while the rush of air violently pushed against your body. You clutched your hand onto the safety belts, keeping your feet on the floor as best you could. Even with weighted bracers, your body felt like it was about to shoot back into the cabin thanks to the air pressure. Your feet dragged itself against the metallic flooring until a large hand grabbed your waist, pulling you into his large frame to stop you.
You peered up at Katsuki Bakugou, aka Ground Zero, in his Pro-Hero getup with his eyes staring back at you through the dusty black makeup on his face. He helped you maneuver yourself back to the hatch, watching the island slowly pass by, focusing on its adjacent island that held Mount Shiroyama. You stared at the mountain, noticing a smouldering trail of smoke from the top of it. You wondered if it was a volcano, only recalling the briefing back at Bakugou's agency about this particular mission.
----
"A dragon?" you questioned while Bakugou turned his scowl towards you.
"Yeah, I'm surprised too," flatly replied Bakugou with his arms crossed. "Just why did we pick up this request?"
"Well, originally we had attempted to pass this along to Ryuko Tatsuma's agency, but they had their hands full... no pun intended, I mean," started Bakugou's manager, his tone a little nervous. "But the locals had specifically requested for you, Bakugou. I mean, looking at your track record, you had been a huge influence while you were there."
"You visited Nabu Island?" you asked, curious. The look in Bakugou's eyes spoke more volumes than you would ever imagine. There was something there that held weight.
"It's nothing," he replied.
"Anyway, we thought this would be a good strategic move, I mean, why not fight fire with fire?" interrupted the manager with an excited grin.
"Wouldn't Todoroki be a better fit then?" you questioned.
"That's not what I meant."
"Sounded like it," interrupted Bakugou.
"Look guys, it's just, there's a lot going on, and you returned from a nice holiday, who knows where, so what better way to get some good ol' fashioned publicity than to tackle down a dragon?" reasoned the manager, his smile excited while he turned between the both of you in anticipation.
You stood nervously about the whole situation, eyeing the manager's office that was surprisingly orderly. You had visited Bakugou's agency many times before, whether on a personal errand to visit Bakugou himself, or when asked for specific tasks and missions to support the Heroes that resided here. Being the pulse of the Local Heroes Network made work a little busy, having to gain access to gossip chains and everyone's progress on the streets. It made for great connections with most agencies, however, working close with Bakugou's agency helped the institution greatly in reaching for troubles and crimes within their district. It was the same for most agencies, like Sir Nighteye's Agency in general who had a close relationship with your network.
