Y/n's POV
"Why are you leaving so willingly?" Nanami spoke, his eyes focused on the ground, looking completely and utterly defeated for the first time in years.

I knew from the beginning that this day would come. My father would never allow me with someone as "weak" as Nanami. As a Kamo, it always had to be a guy from the Gojo family or one of the Zenins. But even though I had become close with the Gojo Satoru himself, I had never once thought of us together. Somehow I had fallen for his friend. Kento Nanami.

"What other choice do I have?"

I reach down to collect the last few items of clothing that I hadn't yet shoved inside my old family suitcase. My father had had enough of me "fooling around" in Japan and decided to send me to Australia, where he now lived. I had attempted to stay in Japan for as long as I could, even using Gojo as an excuse, but when Nanami's safety came up in the conversation I couldn't help but answer his demands.

"Why am I the only one fighting for this relationship?" This time his voice came out soft, almost fragile. So different from his usual mature and dominant demeanor.

I let out a sigh, as I couldn't look at him. The sound of his voice was enough to know that he was devastated by the situation. Focus on packing y/n. It'll all be over soon. He'll hate you, and then everything will become easier. The air in the room became thicker as I held back my tears, listening to the heartbroken voice of my lover.

"You think I haven't tried everything I possibly could to stay here with you? Nothing is going to change his mind Nanami," I voice, zipping up the luggage and pulling at the handle for it to stand, "If me leaving won't get you hurt, then I'm leaving. That's just how it's going to be,"

I tried my best to come off as stubborn, but the crack in my voice said otherwise. I was just as hurt as he was. Our conversation was then cut off by the swing of our front door.

2ND PERSON
"GOJO IS HERE," Screams the white-haired man who was all dolled up, black sunglasses on and all.

He immediately covers his mouth as he notices the awkward setting he just walked into. The sudden hostile stares of his best friends come into view. He exhales, thinking about what he should say or do to ease the situation. He walks over to Y/n, softly holding onto her hand which still sat on top of her suitcase handle.

"Y/n...you have 5 minutes before we leave for the airport. Use it wisely and say goodbye the way you need to. You'll hate yourself if you don't,"

And with that Gojo leaves the two alone, only giving Nanami a nod before letting himself out.

You walk over to Nanami, your feet feeling heavier with each step. This was it. This was going to be the last time, for a long time that you'll be able to hold him, touch him and love him. You take a seat beside your significant other, placing your head on his shoulder softly, before clasping your hand in his. You always loved how perfect your hand fit in his.

"I have to go," You say, breaking the ice first.

He hums as a response, holding onto your hand a little more tightly than before.

"Be safe," he says, acknowledging that he wouldn't be able to change your mind now.

"Of course," You give him one of your signature smiles, and he couldn't help but smile back.

Happy with the way your relationship has ended, you both stand up before taking one another in for the last time. You couldn't help yourself. You wrap your arms around his neck and give him one last kiss, lingering in his space for only a moment, before letting go. You smile as a tear escapes from your left eye and falls down your cheek. Like he always did, he wipes away the lone tear with his thumb. He looks at you with sadness.

"Be happy Nanami," You say, stepping back and grabbing hold of the handle of your suitcase.

He smiles at you, even though he is crushed on the inside. He nods, watching you as you leave through the front door.
