ITS funny how the world can be so cruel. That in a matter of weeks, the world can take away everything you love and know.
Its been about 2 or 3 months since my family died of the unknown virus. It is now named the Elapsen virus. (Dr. Phil Elapsen named it) A few days after we got the news about dad, my entire family contracted it. It was apparently untreatable, so they all passed away. I was the only survivor. A few days after that, I was out looking for food, and looters came and looted my house. When I came back, I decided to pack everything I could fit in a backpack, and leave. There was nothing holding me to that house anyways, only painful memories.
I was walking down the deserted main street of my town and that's when I saw him. He was a boy about my age, and he was hiding behind a trash bin. I tilted my head at him a bit, then he came out from behind the trash bin. "are you lost?" I yelled. "no, my family died from the virus and looters looted my house because they saw the purple flag on the door." I felt my eyes soften. A person who understood what I felt! Just then, I heard gunshots. There was a gang nearby. The boys eyes widened and he jumped in the trash bin. "That's not going to save you! They are looking for food! They will just find you!" He didn't answer. I sighed in frustration and yanked the lid off the trash can. He was curled up at the bottom shaking. He was skinny and looked lightweight, so I grabbed him by the shirt and started running.
OOH a cliffhanger!! XD
