The day of the UA entrance exam came up, faster than I expected. I woke up at 7 a.m., lifting the blankets that rested on top of me off and threw them at the end of my bed. I slip my feet into my slippers and make my way downstairs.
I reach the bottom of the staircase, greeted by my mom and Kai. I assume my younger brother was still asleep in his room.
"Aren't you excited Y/n?" Kai asked me with a smile forming on his face.
"Hmph." I reply while sarcastically smiling.
"Come on sweetie, be happy. A lot of kids don't get this opportunity." My mother said, trying to make me feel better.
"Actually they do. I may not even get in." I say as I pour my favorite cereal into a bowl.
Technically I'm not wrong. Many kids attend the exam hoping to get in, yet only a certain amount of teens actually get accepted in. You do have those who get in upon recommendation.
"Y/n, you may be able to attend the same school as me. How does that sound? Going to school with your big, much cooler, older brother." Kai says. At this point he is just pushing it.
I get it. He is is good at everything, but I can't say the same about myself.
"Oh don't I love being compared to you." I mumble so no one ended up hearing.
I pour milk into my bowl, along with the cereal, and set it down on the kitchen table. I grab a spoon from one of the kitchen drawers, and head over to my cereal bowl.
~Time skip~
I grab my phone and earbuds, placing one earbud in each ear. I turn on my playlist as I rush downstairs. I stop at my front door to put my shoes on.
I run out to the car where my mom is already waiting in the drivers seat.
"Y/n, you are aware what time it is? You're going to be late." My mom said, scolding me.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm trying my best." I reply.
Eventually we pull up to the UA where the exam will be hosted.
I get out the car and start to make my way to the front entrance. I saw this boy, he had green hair. He did stand out that's for sure. Who was he talking to? A girl with a bob haircut and light brown hair. I just walk past these two, making sure to keep my distance from all people.
I made it to the entrance and found a seat. There are so many people. My chances of making it in are very low, but I don't have an issue with that. Making new friends doesn't come naturally for me. For a matter of fact, I don't really have friends. That's off topic anyway.
The room all of sudden become quiet and Present Mic is shown in the front of the room.
"What's up UA Candidates? Thanks for tuning in to me, your school dj. Come on and let me hear you ya!" Present Mic exclaims, but all he receives is silence.
All Present Mic really goes over is the practical exam is going to go down. The basic rules are we have certain battle centers that we are assigned to, spilt from our friends so we can't work together. We have three different targets we need to take down, each have a different point value. We have to use our quirk to destroy these "villians". They added an obstacle, a fourth "villian", worth no points. Doesn't seem like an issue.
The main issue is my quirk, my curse. Unlike Kai, who received his quirk from my mother, I did not. My mother won't tell me, but I believe I received it from my father. Whoever he is.
My quirk is considered one quirk but it contains multiple, but according to my mom, it doesn't even have a name. No one really asks about my quirk, so I don't have to talk about it.
My quirk includes blood manipulation, teleportation. I can also use the negative energy around me as a weapon, and lastly whisper, where I can whisper to anyone from far away distances. To whisper to people though they have to be in my view.
Even though I got my quirk from my dad I still don't know who he is.
Back to the exam. We all departed to go to our assigned battle centers.
Ok so all I have to do is defeat these robot things? That doesn't seem that hard.
I walk towards this raging blond. Why the hell won't he stop yelling "DIE DIE DIE".
I can feel a ton of negative energy near him.
"Hey! Do you ever shut up?" I say as I walk towards him. I keep my distance hoping I won't have to interact much. I just need to use the negative energy around him.
"Why the hell are you coming towards me freak!" He yells at me.
"I'm just using my resources!" I say smiling, "Also thank you!" I say as I pull the negative energy from his direction. As it comes near me it becomes a visible material, with a purple glowing tint.
"Where the hell did that come from?" The yelling blond asked.
"Ever heard of a quirk?" I ask while winking at him.
I used the negative energy and warped it around 3 of the robot looking things. I trapped them all together, making the circle they were trapped in smaller until the robots exploded.
Hm, that wasn't so hard.
I continued to destroy the robots until the exam was over.
Once the exam was over I found where my moms car was. I enter the passengers seat.
"Well? How was it?" My mother questions while smiling to me.
"It's not even a big deal." I say as I slouch in my seat. "Doubt I even got in."
"Don't be so negative Y/n!" She says as she lightly hits my shoulder.
The rest of the car ride was silent. I sat there with my earbuds blasting music. What if I do make it in? What will I do? I don't want to make it. I wonder if you can decline the UA.
Once we arrive home I walk into the front door, only to be greeted by Kai.
"Sooo, how did it go?" Kai asks smiling.
Can everyone stop being happy about it and stop asking me questions.
"You literally did this exam last year." I say as I avoid eye contact and head up to my room.
"What is up with her?" Kai says.
"Remember I didn't even want to go in the first place. Be happy I even went." I say with a glare before walking into my room.
~Time Skip~
From what I have seen all over the internet everyone has already gotten their letters from the UA to see if they made it. Luckily I haven't gotten anything, so I can celebrate about not getting into the UA!
I walk downstairs to go get food and have a mini party with myself.
"Y/n! Come here!" My mom calls from the living room.
"Yeah?" I ask as I walk into the living room.
My mom hands me an envelope. Out of it falls something I don't recognize.
All of a sudden a hologram of All Might himself pops up out of it.
"What is this?" I ask.
All Might went on this whole speech about the UA. Until he finally told me I got accepted into the UA.
"Mom? Can you decline the UA once they tell you that you got in?" I ask as I give her and Kai a worried glance.
"Y/n, you can't do that." Kai says.
Kai and my mom look disappointed in me. Can they not look at me like that. Make it stop!
"I didn't think I would get in! What do I do!" I slightly yell.
"Y/n! You have to go! I have been dreaming of this moment forever!" My mother says smiling.
"Glad I could make you proud." I softly reply as I slowly walk out the front door.
A/n: This one is a bit longer! Hope you enjoy and I am so happy I finished planning this story out! Please give feedback on what I could fix! <3
