It is finally the day.

17th of September. My day of freedom.

Hi. I'm Regina Alexandria Ignacia Edward. Long name I know winks. And all my life I've been praying to baby Jesus for the day I finally get to be free to live my life. Let's go down memory lane shall we?

At the age of five I lost my parents and my two brothers in a horrible car accident. I was the only survivor. My name was on the news for days because the doctor claimed it to be a miracle that I survived such an accident, considering also the car exploded burning whatever remained of my family. So from that day on, people labelled me 'The Miracle child.'

My only living relative was my grandmother's twin sister who was a Nun in Rome. So upon hearing the news of the tragedy, she took me under her care. And I moved to Rome.

The news of the miracle child had also spread to the Catholic church in Rome, So Sister Aurora, as she preferred i call her, decided that it's best for me not to be in the public eye any longer. So she home-schooled me. I have never once been among kids my own age. I only hung out with the nuns. Even when it was time for Mass, I was only allowed to go for mass that was specially for the nuns.

So there I was, being raised as the good girl I am. I have never told a lie in my life. As unbelievable as it sounds, it's the truth. I couldn't even if I wanted to, because at every corner, a picture of Mary or Jesus or one of the twelve apostles were staring down at me. And I can't lie in the presence of baby Jesus.

It was always the same routine for me;

5:00am
Twenty decades of the rosary

6:00am
Morning mass with the nuns

7:30am
Help the cook share breakfast to all the Nuns.

9:00am
Shower and get ready for class

12:00
Ring the church bell for the Angelus
Also recite the Angelus too.

12:30-3:00pm
Classes

6:00pm
Ring the church bell for the Angelus
Also recite the Angelus

6:30pm
Help the cook share dinner to all the nuns

8:00pm
Take my bath, say my prayers and sleep.

So that is basically my life. When I turned 15, I had to beg Sister Aurora, to buy me a phone. Believe me she really did not want to. Saying that the story about me might still be on the media. Trust me after 10 years people are probably talking about something else.

But being the control freak she is, she linked our phones together. So whatever I do with my phone, she sees. And she also put some kind of parents control on the device. But I don't care. I only wanted a phone so that I can play games with it.

Even though I have literally been living under a rock all my life, I knew there was something out there. A whole world for me to discover. So you can imagine Sister Aurora's surprise when I told her that I didn't want to become a nun.
And that I wanted to leave Rome and go back to America for college.
