An hour later I’m walking up to the house. It’s a very big, very nice, old house it seems. It has a big yard, with enough car space for about 3 cars it seems. As I’m about to knock on the door, a beautiful, beautiful man opens the door.
“Hey, you must be the one looking for the place to stay! I’m Nathan, your neighbor!” He shakes my hand, and I’m literally just staring at him. He had to literally be one of the most beautiful men on this planet. “Well, don’t let them scare you off!” He smiles and bounds next door, and I stare after him.
I think I’m in love.
Someone taps me on the shoulder.
“Emma?” I turn and stare at the man who tapped my shoulder. Scratch that, this was the most beautiful man I’d ever seen. Shaggy blonde hair, with bright, hazel eyes, about 6’4” with the body of a god. His hand reaches out.
“I’m Noah, the one you called about the room?” I stare at him for a little bit before I snap out of it.
“Oh, yeah! I’m Emma, obviously.” I’m trying my hardest not to blush.
“How about we talk to everyone before we get started?”
“Um, sure.” I walk into the place, and am suddenly overtaken by the beauty of the house.
“This place is gorgeous!” I exclaim. “But this seems like an older house. Did you guys get people to restore it or something?”
Noah laughs. “No, we decided to restore this place ourselves. It just seemed easier.” He tells me as we walk past a gorgeous old staircase into a living room. “Plus, none of us really wanted to cough up the money to pay someone else to do it when we knew we could, you know?”
“Oh, tell me about it. I’m so cheap. I can skimp on like 200 bucks for a two months, but that’s just for personal stuff, not rent and everything like that.” I shut up before I said anymore. I shouldn’t tell people that who I want-no need-to live with!
Noah leads me into the living room, where three other guys are all sitting on the couch, watching some game.
Now, I’m not ugly. On a good day, I’m somewhat pretty. I have an average face, with curly blonde hair and brown eyes. But I’m fat. I have a huge ass. And while I’m not awful looking, these men were basically gods they were all so beautiful. They all stood up as I walked in, and introduced themselves. One introduced himself as Aaron. He had curly brown hair, and bright blue eyes that seemed to be smiling. The next one introduces himself as Devon. He has black hair, and startling green eyes. The last one introduces himself as Jake. Brown, spikey hair, and eyes so dark they looked almost black. I made a mental note to stay away from him if I did move in. He seemed like trouble. We all sat down.
“So, Emma, tell us a little bit about yourself.” Noah says. The guys turn off the TV and wait for my answer.
“Well, I’m 21, and going to grad school at Claremont’s Graduate school. I’m hoping to get my Ph.D in psychology so that I can become a clinical psychologist. I’m not the cleanest person, but I do well when I’m living with other people.”
“Do you have a job, or are you going to need to find one around here?” Aaron asks.
“Well, I need to find one, but I went to a bar for dinner, and I have an interview there tomorrow.”
“How are you going to find the rent?” Jake asks me, daring me almost.
“I have a few thousand dollars saved, but I’m planning on being a full time student, and working nights full time too to be able to make the rent.” They consider this, and lean back, settling more on the couch.
“What bar did you have an interview at?” Noah asks me.
“It’s called Ernie’s?” They all laugh.
“That’s the local firefighter hang out.” Aaron explains to me. I like him already.
“Is that what you do, then?” I ask him.
“We all are firefighters. That’s why we got this house together. We met, and all the apartments around here are shitty, so we decided to get a house together.” Noah explains to me.
“How old are you all?” I ask them all.
“I’m twenty-five.” Noah says. “Aaron’s twenty-six, so is Jake. Devon is twenty-seven.”
“Cool.” I smile at them. I bet they need time to talk about if they want me to move in or not. “May I use your bathroom?”
“Second door on your left.” Aaron says.
Noah’s POV
“So, what do you guys think?” I ask them as soon as Emma’s left.
“I like her.” Aaron says. But he gets along with everybody.
“Easy prey.” Jake says.
“Dude, you’re not supposed to bang her, we just need her to help out with money. She came over here to find a place to live, not to be next in line of your fuck train of women.” Aaron laughs.
“She seems cool.” Devon says. Well, that’s the seal of approval then.
“She seems shy, or maybe pure is more of the right word. She was staring at us all like no other.” Aaron says. “Should we tell her we walk around the house naked most of the time?”
“Let her find that out on her own.” I laugh and wink at the guys, and they all laugh along. Emma comes out of the hallway and looks at all of us.
“Did I miss something?” She asks. Aaron steps over to her, gets down on one knee and looks up at her. A blush is starting to form on her cheeks.
“Emma, darling. We would be honored if you would live with us.” He says, he face as red as a tomato. Then she breaks out into a smile.
“Really?” She half shrieks. As Aaron stands up she leaps into his arms, hugging him. “Thank you so much! When can I move in?” We all look at each other.
“Really whenever’s fine. Do you have all your things with you? I saw your car before you came in, and it looked packed.” I say.
“Yes! I have everything. I was hoping that I wouldn’t have to spend the night in a motel.” She pauses. “Is the room furnished or not?”
“It’s furnished. It used to be a guest bedroom, but feel free to decorate how you want.” Devon tells her. We all start walking out to her car to help her with her things. Her tiny car is filled with boxes, except for one piece of furniture. Aaron picks up the piece of furniture.
“Please be careful with that! I can help if you want me too.” She tells him.
“Please, honey.” She blushes at the pet name. “I’m a firefighter. This is nothing!” He says as he almost drops the thing. Emma almost screams and rushes over to him.
“I’m going to help you whether you like it or not!” She says as they carry it into the house.
We all grab a few boxes and go up to her room. The boxes are surprisingly heavy.
“Jesus, what’s in these boxes?” I say, setting it down as we get to her room. Emma looks at each box.
“Those are a majority of my books.” She states as we all start going back down to her car.
“Figures you would like to read.” Jake says.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” She snaps.
“A quiet, pure girl like you. You blush every time we call you a pet name, you’re in a shirt that shows no cleavage whatsoever. You’re the type.” He says to her.
“Just because I don’t go around flaunting my tits at every living thing doesn’t mean I’m ‘pure’ or whatever the fucking wording was that you used. I read because it makes me happy and if you’re going to make fun of that you can fuck off.” She says. We all just kind of stare at her. People don’t normally tell Jake off like that.
“Oh, sweetheart, fuck off? You’re going to be living in my house. I’d watch what you say.” They both glare at each other. Emma goes to her car to grab more boxes and the moment is broken. Jake glares at her, then goes into the house. She looks at us.
“Just because I like to read doesn’t mean I’m some sort of good girl.” She says.
“Okay.” Devon says. With that, Nathan comes out of his house.
“Hey! Looks like I’ve got a new neighbor!” He shouts, coming towards us and looking at Emma.
“Yes, you do!” Emma says. She’s not even looking at him. She just grabs a box and starts walking towards the house.
“Grab a box, douchebag!” Aaron says to him. We all walk towards the house for our first night with our new roomie.
