In Midtown Manhattan, Sarah, Ashley, Caleb and Mitchell are having a drink at the bar. Caleb is drinking his beer very quickly as everyone looks at him.
Mitchell: You may want to slow down on that, man.
Caleb stops drinking.
Caleb: Don't worry. I'm not drinking like this to get drunk. I'm drinking like this because I'm very worried....about those monsters you guys dug up.
Sarah: I'm sure they're fine, Caleb. If I know my husband, he's strong.
Ashley: Yeah, besides, he's got Shawn....James...Walter...and Cameron with him.
Mitchell: The kid? The one who almost blew off my head with that goddamned 12 gauge when we found him all scared and pissin his pants?
Ashley: Hey! He's gotten better! I was in his shoes once too, you know?
Caleb: Yeah....but you were trained by....Kyle....Walter....Billy...your brother....
a short pause.
Caleb: You know; uh....Billy was a damn fine story teller....he told stories that made you laugh....made you cry....miss that one eyed old man....Nathan....he was just a lost angry soul....I know he didn't mean to get Beth killed...but things happen for a reason...even when we don't want them to....
Sarah raises her glass.
Sarah: To my brother...to Billy...to Nora....Catherine...Beth...and the rest of the fallen.
Ashley: May their souls rest easy.
Cassandra run into the bar and over to the groups' table.
Mitchell: Ah, Cassandra, you're just in time for a dr-
Cassandra: Have you guys been near a radio?!
Sarah: No, why? Cassandra, what's wrong?!
Cassandra walks over to a radio and turns it on as the broadcaster speaks. Sarah, Ashley, Caleb and Mitchell walk over.
Ashley: Cassandra-
Cassandra: Shh..
Wasteland Broadcaster: I don't know what the hell's happening lately with the earthquakes and monsters, but we've got reports of a fourth city has been sunk.....I repeat, ladies and gentlemen, the entire city of Dallas, the home of the President of the Wasteland, has been completely sunk.
Caleb: Oh, god!
Wasteland Broadcaster: Casualties are coming in of men, women and kids in...I can't really get a view of what's happening or if anyone else survived.
Sarah: Kyle.....
Ashley: They'll make it.....Kyle will make it. (to Cassandra) James too...and Cameron...everyone's going to be okay.
In the Chrysler Tower, Maya is seen listening in on the report as Alexandria walks in.
Alexandria: Maya? What's wrong?
Sarah, Ashley, Mitchell and Cassandra walks in.
Cassandra: Mom!
Alexandria: What is it?
Cassandra: Dallas! It's been sunk by those monsters!
Maya: What?! Oh, my god...have you heard from James?
Cassandra: No, or Shawn...or Kyle...or Walter...I've been trying to get in contact with them, but I can't get any radio signals out from here. They're too far or too deep in the sinkhole!
Alexandria: What else have you heard?
Cassandra: they're saying there's lot of people dying.....Mom, we have to send someone to that town to help them.
