Speak, he may not. Although bound by the tight grip of the rope. The twelve year old boy doesn't fret as he knows all is well. The strangulation causes suffering but just like that it's over. The snapping of his neck causes satisfaction and he soon realizes he was right, he couldn't die as his punishment by god. He frowns noticing all the flaws of this. He notices the people coming to take him down so he pretends to be dead. This small village never understood people. He's cut down and takes this time to scurry into the woods.

The villager blurts,"A-AFTER THE DEMON! CLEANSE HIS SOUL AND SACRIFICE HIM TO GOD!" The boy runs into the woods feeling his muscles give out and burn as he makes it to the clearing of bushes. His legs burn but he manages to hide just in time as the villagers shove through the luscious woods of splotches of green, yellow, and orange. Fall had arrived earlier  in the month and the boy is hiding not wanting to be found. He covers his mouth with his sweaty palm the sweat condensing on his forehead and running down.

The cool autumn breeze helps a little but the villagers  still haven't given up. Then all goes dead silent after a few minutes. The boy becomes unnerved by the second but realizes he can scan the area. There are no signs of the villagers and the boy is free but most important, Icarus is free.
