Akaashi and Kenma ;)
Akaashi and Kenma have known each other for awhile, for the exact age go back to the chapter where Kenma tells his back story. They've been on and off working together however they never lost contact once.
They are extremely close friends and... would kill for each-other.
Now at the beginning of the book it seems like they were just friends but not for awhile, it seemed as if Kenma had no clue about Akaashi being in a gang— Except for his family— and that Akaashi had no clue about Kenma being the Mute swan. HAHA THAT WAS ALL FAKE. Which also adds to why when Akaashi met Kenma as the puppet master inside the building, Kenma said he was "quite the actor."
Was the entire thing planned? Well that will be explained by Kenma in the official last chapter, which will be released...... well we'll see.
ANYWHO I COULD GO MORE IN DEPTH OF THEIR FRIENDSHIP HOWEVER I will leave that to your interpretations!
A lot of things in this book are obvious yet vague. ;) Interpret it how you like~
