The cupboards in the Vocaloid Mansion (more specifically the cupboards in the kitchen) were a mess. Cul knew this. Everyone knew this. Many were piled haphazardly with all kinds of bags, tins, and packets of food, while most under the countertops were stuffed full of many different things, toothpaste, toilet roll, tampons, cleaning supplies, tissues, lots of stuff that the vocaloids would take and haul up the many flights of stairs back to their bedrooms. However, there was one cupboard that was, different, from the rest.
The medicine cupboard.
The medicine cupboard, was, well, exactly what it sounded like. It was full of everyone's different pills and prescriptions, as master had made a rule that it should all be kept in one place, to make things a little more organised.
You could only get into the medicine cupboard if you had the code, a code that the under 13s (Ryuto, Rana, Una, Yuki, Oliver, Hime, and Mikoto) didn't know. Master had always been scared that the little kids would raid the medicine cupboard and gobble it all up, and after the one time where Ryuto nearly did, the over 13s made a unanimous desicion to keep all the medicine under lock and key. It was also one of the highest cupboards in order to prevent the little kids from reaching it. Luka had mentioned that they could just climb on the counters and/or each other to get to it, but Master had just hoped that they wouldn't be smart enough to do that. However, that plan backfired when Rin and Len discovered that they were, in fact, too short to reach it without a stool.
Cul browsed the rows of packs and bottles, all neatly in order and colour coded. There were Rin's antidepressants, Luka's estrogen pills, Maika's birth control, Daina's birth control, Fukase's eczema cream, as well as loads of different multi-vitamins and painkillers. Cul continued to look, until she found what she was looking for.
Her ADHD medication.
She tipped one of the tablets into her hand, grabbed the glass of water which she had left on the counter, and swiftly swallowed it before heading over to the dining room table. On her way, she passed the notice board, and decided to look at today's post-it note. This time, it was blue highlighter on pink paper that read "Len and Oliver 69'd last night."
Cul smiled and continued walking.
She smiled even more as she approached the dining room.
It seems like Master had kept their promise after all.
Sitting around the dining table, each with a large bowl of rice, were Rin, Len, Miku and Luo, who all looked like they'd rather be anywhere else. Master, who looked way too excited about the whole situation, was also sat with them, cheering words of encouragement.
Because of a number of factors, including rigorous dance training, pressure to conform to beauty standards, and getting a little too excited when the new gym opened, Miku, Rin, Len and Luo were now quite severely underweight. To be completely honest, most of them had always been underweight, but now that Miku had started to faint after even the slightest bit of exercise, Master had made it their mission to get them back to a normal weight.
And that was why Len was currently slumped over the table, Oliver trying to push and prod yet another spoonful of rice into his mouth (since Oliver hadn't completely mastered chopsticks). Len sucked it up like a vacuum.
"You're not going to fatten him up" Cul chuckled as she watched the scene. "You're just going to make him sick."
Len peeked his head up and smiled weakly, too exhausted to do anything else. "We're fine..."
"I'm not fine!" Rin announced, standing up and slamming her hands on the table, making poor Luo, who was just quietly eating and scrolling through social media, completely complying with Master's plan, flinch. Rin gave master a death glare sharper than a knife. "Master said that we're not allowed to use the gym anymore!"
Miku sighed. "Rin-Rin..."
"What?" Rin plopped back into her seat and took a long gulp of orange Fanta, before crossing her arms and pushing the empty glass vaguely in Master's direction. Master sighed and rolled their eyes, but grabbed the glass anyway and wandered into the kitchen to get her some more Fanta. "What am I meant to do now?"
Miku picked up her chopsticks and gobbled down another bite of rice. "Watch more movies with me? Play more Animal Crossing? Bake something that doesn't have oranges in it? There's lots that you could be doing."
Rin only rested her head on her hand and poked at her bowl. "I guess..."
"Don't look so sad!" Miku continued, "You could bake a cake for Hime and Mikoto's birthday! They'll love that."
Immediately, Rin lifted her head and beamed, eyes sparkling. She wasn't particularly close to the two youngest Meikas, but that didn't stop her from thinking that they were the most adorable things in the entire world. Rin would do absolutely anything to see them giggle and smile, and baking them their birthday cake seemed like the perfect way to do that. "Only if you help me..." She said, leaning into Miku's shoulder.
"Of course I will." Miku giggled.
Suddenly, Luo peered up from her phone and stared, emotionless, at Rin and Miku. She quickly stood, silenty leaving her chopsticks and now empty bowl on the table, before a few words slipped from her mouth. "It's really not that hard to just eat."
"Yes it is!" Len whined, swatting away yet another spoonful of rice that Oliver was trying to feed him.
Cul smirked. "To be fair, Rin and Len are, like, half the size of you, Luo."
"Hey!" Rin pouted through a mouthful of food.
"It's true though..." Miku whispered under her breath. Rin glared at her and poked her cheek with the end of one of her chopsticks.
As Luo walked out of the room, she brushed past Master, who was carrying Rin's glass, filled with the delicious, sticky-sweet citrus drink that she loved so much. They sighed, sitting down and sliding the glass across the table to Rin like it was an ice hockey puck. Rin beamed, swiftly picking it up and downing most of the liquid.
"Can I stop eating yet?" Len whined. His bowl was only half-empty, but he looked like he never wanted to see another grain of rice in his life.
Oliver ignored him, instead pushing the spoonful of rice deeper down his throat. "No."
"Isn't that going to make him gag?" Cul questioned, slightly concerned.
"Don't worry," Oliver deadpanned, "He's used to having things shoved down his throat."
Len almost choked on that spoonful of rice. "Ollie!" he whined, cheeks flushing a deep pink.
Rin didn't even try to quiet her snigger.
Cul smiled. This would be a long ordeal.
constructive criticism please lol
