Stuck in an escape room with your crush who seemingly hates you? What could go wrong? Let's find out!
Having a crush on a demon was hard as it is. But when your an angel, it's much harder. And then there's the royalty aspect. Yeah, I'm the princess of the Overworld. And I really, really, like the prince of the Underworld. Even if he is a huge jerk.
Me and him had been hanging out recently, mostly when we were with Star or Marco, or as a group. When we were left alone, we had our... Moments. And by moments, I mean stuff that usually goes like this:
I was sitting against a wall in the mall as Star dragged Marco to find him a new princess dress. Tom stood next to the bench, playing on his compact.
"Do you always have to be on your phone?" I ask, looking up at him.
"Are angels always so stuck up?" He responds, not even glancing at me.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I ask, sitting up properly Instead of lazily leaning back on the wall.
"Nothing. I didn't know angels were sensitive too."
"Excuse you?" I say, my wings flaring behind me like a cat's tail.
"Just sayin, all angels are pretty stuck up and have unbelievably high standards." He shrugs, looking up at me.
"Oh, yeah. And demons are so much better." I say, rolling my eyes.
"What?" He says, standing.
"I, personally speaking, have nothing against demons, but every demon I've met has been so rude and distasteful. And they always want to fight. They're so over dramatic in every possible emotion, expesally anger." I say, crossing my arms.
This spins into a large arguemnt, which Star and Marco had to diffuse.
So yeah, that's what happens when we're left alone. When were with the group, however. That's a different story. Let me give you an example:
Me and the group were all going to a movie, and me and Tom were in the back, actually having a decent conversation.
"And then he jumped off the roof with an umbrella and tried to be Mary Poppins." I recall the time my middle school friend with no wings tried to use an umbrella to fly, and ended up breaking his ankle.
"He actually did that?" Tom asks, chuckling.
"He did stuff like that all the time, but that's probably the dumbest." I say, laughing.
He then slings his arm around my shoulder, and I blush brightly, too flustered to listen to his story.
Those were time we actually got along, and it was always really fun and nice. Sometimes when we were with the group, we could talk for the whole span of the activity, and completely ignore the others, but, we didn't really get along when we were alone, and I have no clue why.
Today I was getting ready to go to an "escape room" that Marco said would be fun. I have no clue what it was, but I didn't feel like being alone today.
I finished getting ready and walked outside of my house, opening a portal from the Overworld to Earth.
I knocked on Marcos door, and Tom answered it.
"Hey." He says, walking away from the door.
"Heya. Any idea what an escape room is?" I ask, waiting for Marco to come down.
"No clue." Tom says, shrugging.
"Marco says it was like solving a murder, but you only had a certain amount of time." Star says, playing with a lazer puppy.
