There is a certain magic that few can see when they look up into the night sky,
that's what I saw in his eyes.
He's like a rare fine dust that once interlaced the stars,
a beautiful tribute to things most no longer bother to notice.
You told me you could give me the world,
but I told you that wasn't what I needed.
I told you that you were enough, but I wasn't for you.
All you left me was sparkling, shimmering stardust,
my heart glows less.
You were my universe, but now you're a broken wish
A fallen star with no remorse, with no meaning
And yet, I still tell the stars about you
I wish they'd listen.
