The day got rolling I was pointed in the direction of my horse and the tack and saddled her up I met Jacob at the edge of the corrals, he teased me so what have you already heard about your self you didn't know ... I rolled my eyes nothing but your not helping, I could see several hands staring. I kicked my horse into a trot and left Jacob behind only to meet Trey a few moments later ... Fucking great .... Wohhoo just what I needed Trey could tell I was pissed so he kept it short and sweet. "You and Jacob watch yourself the hands are already starting to talk they are spinning all kids of stories about the three of us " I just shrugged " let em talk I'm used to rumors ruining my life " he held his hand up .." Momma will be back later this week I'd rather not give her a coronary as soon as she get here " I nodded " I understand I'll do my best" he turned his horse toward the fields and kicked him to a walk and left me there I let everyone else pass including Jacob and brought up the back ... Might as well make em think I screwed up.
The day went pretty well ive defiantly lost a step or two in between jobs I'm not near as strong as the men or as fast but that'll change. ...when we took a break for lunch I sat off to the side by myself I could hear a few of the guys talking ...joy about me ... I didn't catch everything but Mustang ... Whore , sleeping with the boss , fucking them for their money ..... Damn this was gonna be a long day . I snapped my head in that direction when I heard flesh connect with a hard object ... Jacob and Trey stood over the men that were talking shit the brothers looked pissed arms crossed scowls on their faces. " since when is it okay to say those things about a women particularly one that's within earshot /dumbass, not that she needs her honor defended she is having to prove herself just as you did Jace so shut the hell up and eat and if your done you can go clean up everyone's mess. " Jacob looked my way as if asking if I was okay I halfway nodded and walked to my horse climbed on and kicked her to a walk then a trot and then a run I wanted away I don't care if they fire me now I just need to be away from the bullshit. I stopped as I neared the creek I dismiunted and tied the horse off to a tree. I pulled my boots off and soaked my feet after a few minutes I leaned back and let my eyes drift closed. I must have fallen asleep because Jacob was patting my arm and saying my name when my eyes opened again. " kassie are ...are you okay , those guys were asses they had no right." I stopped him no right to what say what it looks like from the outside ... All they saw this morning was a fight and you me and Trey leaving my room ... If it was you seeing it what would you think .." He shook his head " I would think we were all sleeping together but I wouldn't say anything , plus Trey and I have a past that won't help the issue ..." I looked at him what now ...
