Hachimitsu Pan had only been at this new school for a day, and could already tell things were strange there.
"Class, I would like to introduce our new student," The teacher said, gesturing to the messy looking girl in the front of the class, "This is Hachimitsu Pan, she will be attending Flower Blossom Elementary from now on!"
Hachimitsu waved sheepishly as the class greeted her, the sleeve of her sweater, which didn't fit, moved with her hand. She was nervous, which was reasonably founded.
She glanced around the room, surveying her new classmates. A good amount of them were brunettes like her, and a few had different, fun colored hair. None of them had highlights, which made her the only one.
"You can go sit down next to Shuel." The teacher said, gesturing to the desk next to a blonde girl.
Hachimistsu looked to the girl. She mostly judged people by the color and look in their eyes, and she did not like the look in Shuel's eyes. She looked at Hachimitsu like she had just stolen her boyfriend or something.
She sighed gently and shuffled over to her assigned desk. She sat down and placed her backpack underneath her desk. Hachimitsu looked to Shuel, who was still giving her a dirty look.
Hachimitsu pulled a few notebooks from her backpack and placed them on her desk. She picked out a worn purple one and opened it to a new page. She pulled a few pencils with different colored led out of their pouch and wrote something down.
Point; Shuel doesn't seem to like us, take note to avoid her.
Note; Probably should redo hair, everyone here is quite the same.
Hachimitsu closed the notebook and placed it with the rest of them as the teacher continued the lesson. It felt like five minutes before the class was over and it was time for lunch. She closed her notebook, which was filled with an unreasonable amount of notes, and puts it away, pulling her lunch box out in its place.
"Hey Hechimatsu!" A brown haired boy yelled, walking up to her desk.
"Hachimitsu..." She corrected, looking up from her unpacking.
"Your hair looks funny." He said, poking the yellow piece that kept sticking out.
"Okay? Could you not touch me please?"
"What do you mean okay?! You're supposed to get upset! Isn't that what girls do when they get insulted?!"
"No...? Is that what girls here normally do? Because I can pretend."
Hachimitsu brought a hand up, dragging one finger down her face.
"Boo hoo, whatever will I do about such an insult?"
The boy reddened and started shouting random stuff, which caused Hachimitsu to make a face of utter judgement.
"Hey Gichan! Leave her alone!" One of the girls with colorful hair shouted, pointing dramatically at the boy.
Why is this so... Dramatic? Hachimitsu questioned to herself as the boy shuffled back to his desk. Hachimitsu shook her head and turned her focus to the juice jug that she had in her lunch.
She didn't pay much attention to the high amount of chatter in the classroom as she nibbled on the sandwich she had made earlier that same day. She wondered what was up with this new school. Something seemed insanely off and she couldn't quite place it.
She was halfway through one of her snacks when the bell rang, lunch time was much shorter here than her old school. She put her food back in its bag and placed it back into her backpack.
