Quinteris didn't remember what happened before hand. She was walking home from the hospital, happy that her first week of work was over, she was proud of herself and excited to tell her adoptive sire how well she had done.

She didn't hear him come up behind her, he was as light on his pedes as he used to be. He was  a silent predator, an attacker with motive. Quinteris knew him, but remembered very little of him since he went off grid.

All she could hear was her own footsteps as she made her way home. She was almost there when someone grabbed her by the nape of her neck, paralyzing her and dragging her backward into an alleyway.

He clamped a hand over her intake, it smelled horribly of chemicals. Quinteris knew what those chemicals did and squirmed, struggling to free herself from his grasp.

It was no use, he was  bigger and stronger than she was. The edges of her vision began to get blurry and warnings began to flood her HUD, her audials were bombarded by a shushing sound as her vision began to get dark.

Quinteris groaned as she came back online. All she could smell and taste were chemicals and her head was fuzzy with a medicine like haze. There were several warnings plaguing her HUD and her leg hurt impossibly.

She opened her optics, they took a bit to adjust to the bright light of the room. It looked like an old medical facility, but she wasn't presently in that room, she was in a room off to the side of it. Yes, she could see into the room, but she was in a slightly darker room inside.

It was a cement cell with a single window high above, where she couldn't have possibly reached.

Though there were bars separating her from the medical room, her legs and her wrists were tied to a chair. Now she understood why her leg hurt so bad. The wire that he used to tie her legs to the chair was scraping against the scars and scabs on her armor.

She could see from where she was tied down that he had leaned her staff in one of the corners of the room, she wouldn't be able to walk if she got out of this.

Though it was painful, she tested the wire. It was tied tightly around her limbs, she would need to struggle quite a bit to escape.  That would probably cause bleeding and infection, which was not desirable, but neither was this situation.

"Ah, I see that you're finally awake!" A voice said from across the room.

Quinteris looked up, she hadn't noticed the green bot standing at a computer console across the room. She knew him, yes, she knew him very well. He was one of her patients, and a long time friend.

"Sagittarius," Quinteris said groggily, "What's going on...?"

"I'm glad you're awake!" He repeated as he walked over to her cell, "Now we can begin!"

"Begin what?" Quinteris' voice was slow and groggy, her vocoder must have been damaged when he grabbed her.

"My project!" Sagittarius exclaimed excitedly his crazed eyes widening as he leaned closer to the bars, "It's a big thing for me, Quinteris, this is a very big scientific discovery and you're going to be a part of it!"

Quinteris felt her spark drop into her tanks. What was he on about? What scientific discovery, why in this dingy place and not at the labs, and why her?

"What pro..." Her voice was fading, he had done something to her while she was out. He didn't want her talking for a while.

"What project you ask?" Sagittarius repeated her anticipated question excitedly, "I'm so glad you asked! I've discovered that you can build clones without protoforms! Isn't that something?"
