Entrance Exam (part 1/2)

Elora POV

For the rest of that day, I spent the whole day in my room learning more about my class.
It turns out "Jack of All Trades" not only gives me the ability to wield all weapons imaginable, it is also capable of using the abilities of all other classes at max proficiency, making it the most deadly combat class out there.

So I, being the curious person that I am, tested it out.
Elora-"Titan strength"
A thin red aura envelopes my body
"Greater agility"
My body felt way lighter than usual
"Grand Healing"
An enormous green colored magic circle covers the entire mansion
"So it is true, I can use all the other classes ability at max potential"

From now until early mid-night, I tested out different abilities like "stealth" and "poison arts" from the assassin class, magic and strength amplification from the mage brawler class, purification from the priest class, the list goes on.

The next morning.....

Elora-"*yawns*"
Isaiah-"Hayase, we gotta go. Get up"
Elora-"Okayyyy~"

We got dressed and had a quick breakfast downstairs before getting onto a carriage to the entrance exam.

Alastair-"Now, I will briefly go over the entrance exam this year. They will test you on 4 aspects of your overall combat abilities: physical strength, weapon proficiency, magic prowess, and finally: combat experience. I'm sure you know what the first 3 subjects are about but the last one changes every year."
Elora-"Huh?"
Alastair-"Two years ago, the students were required to group together and fight against a horde of monsters. Last year, the students had to last 3 minutes in a fight against instructors. What I am saying is: be prepared for anything"
He chuckles
"Bah! Who am I kidding? You both are over level 50 at such a young age, I'm sure you two will pass just fine"

Dad gave us each a crimson badge with a Phoenix symbol and golden outlining
"Here, you will need this. It's your ticket into the examination grounds."

After another half an hour on the carriage, our destination finally came into view.
The examination grounds is protected by a 50 meter wall with a 4 layered magic barrier surrounding it. No one without permission from the caster or a specially made badge can pass through it.

Alastair-"Alright, this is as far as I can take you. Good luck with your exams"
We thanked him before getting down from the carriage.

"Hey, isn't that the Flamesworth crest?"
"Sh*t, it is!"

"Look! It's Isaiah Flamesworth!"
"He's as handsome as the rumors say~"
"Too bad he refused the arranged marriage my family offered him"
"Same here"

Amongst the crowd, Matheo steps out and greets me
"Well I'll be damned, you are actually a Flamesworth"
Elora-"None of your business"
Matheo-"Hey, don't be so cold. Just trying to make a friend here"
Elora-"Hmph!"

"ATTENTION!"
A middle-aged man with blond hair and slightly tanned skin walked out of a portal in front of us.
"The exam will start in a moment, but first, the headmaster has some announcements to make."

An old man with white hair and long beard walks through the portal. That's the headmaster: Theodore Lynx.

Theodore-"Greetings. I am Theodore Lynx, the headmaster of Xyrus Academy. I will get straight to the point. After several meetings with the council throughout this year, we have decided that as of this year forward, Magic Theory class will become an optional course. Therefore, there will not be a written written exam from now on"
