"How's what going to work?" I ask Jon, evidently confused.

"Sleeping arrangements."

"Oh," I say, pondering where we would sleep.

"I can sleep on the floor." Jon offers.

"No, you don't have to do that."

"Well then, what should we do?"

"Share the couch?" I say hesitantly, not knowing what his reaction would be.

"Works for me," Jon says while slipping off his loafers, rolling up his sleeves, and unbuttoning the top button of his shirt.

"Do you have another bathroom that I could use?" He asks while pushing himself off of the couch.

"Yeah, I have a half-bath by the back door. Does that work for you?"

"Yes, that's perfect."

I lead him over to the bathroom and after he walks inside I head to the linen closet to grab sheets and pillows for the both of us. As I walk back to the couch I meet Jon who takes half of the lead without saying a word. I give him a nod of thanks and we set up the couch together, still not saying a word.

"Do you need anything else? A glass of water, maybe?" I ask once the couch is set up.

"A glass of water would be nice, but I'll get it." He says while walking over to the kitchen.

I follow close behind him, wanting to grab some water for myself.

"Why do you think Amelia kissed you?" He asks out of the blue.

"I don't know. Maybe I'm just too irresistible." I say with a straight face.

Jon lets out a small laugh while reaching for two glasses out of the cabinet.

"I think she was just super drunk. She probably won't remember in the morning." Jon tells me with a hint of something in his voice, but I can't tell what it is.

"Yeah, you're right." I agree while taking one of the glasses.

I glumly walk over to the cabinet that holds the medicine, grabbing the bottle of advil for my growing headache and offering some to Jon who I'm assuming has the same symptoms.

"Thanks," he says while bringing the pills to his lips.

"No problem," I say while taking some myself.

We both refill our glasses and head into the living room, not exchanging any words. I let out a sigh as I lay down, relieved to be done with this excruciatingly long day.

"Are you okay?" Jon asks while standing over me.

"Yeah, I'm good. Just tired."

"Same," Jon says with a tired sigh afterward.

Jon sits down on the couch and takes a deep breath before situating himself. He runs a hand through his messy hair before putting his head on the pillow and stretching out his legs. I feel his foot run into mine so I look up at him.

"Sorry," he says with a laugh. "I might be a bit tall for this. Are you sure you don't want me to sleep on the floor?"

"Yes, I'm totally sure," I say while scooting over, making more room for Jon's legs.

He gives me a small smile before stretching out his legs the last bit, his feet coming up to my hips. As my eyes flutter shut I feel Jon's warmth radiating off his body, leaving a comforting feeling. I pull my blanket closer to my chest and I feel Jon do the same, my living room being slightly chilly. As I am almost asleep I feel Jon's foot flop against my waist as I hear his steady breathing. He must be asleep. As I am thinking about Jon, I drift to sleep.
