Sophie's hand trembled slightly as she went to swipe her keycard across the door. Before she could, the door flew open, revealing two smiling girls staring at her. They were beautiful. Sophie reckoned the entire school could hear her self esteem crashing through the floor. The girl on the left had rich, wavy dark brown hair. Her skin was slightly tanned, her face was bright and cheerful. She had striking teal blue eyes that sparkled with joy. The girl on the right was just as beautiful, but in such a different way. Her eyes were a pale blue, flecked with silver. Her skin was pale, but she still looked vibrant and healthy. Her long, straight hair was black and the ends looked like they had been dipped in silver. The girl on the left stuck out her hand, "Hi, I'm Biana!" she chirped joyfully, "And I'm Linh." the other girl said softly. "I'm Sophie," she said, shaking their outstretched hand. "But I guess you already knew that." The girls giggled and Biana grabbed Sophie's arm and pulled her inside. "Right, we'll help you unpack and then..." Biana trailed off. Sophie's jaw had practically hit the floor. Their room was huge. It was painted a soft grey, and had real wooden floors. But the beds, they were incredible. The beds themselves were unremarkable single beds, but they were sitting atop a walk-in closet and beside the bed was a raised desk. {I explained that horrendously, but just imagine the picture but all the yellow pieces are grey} "I know right?" Linh said in her sing-song voice, breaking Sophie out of her trance. Biana clapped her hands together and started making a plan to help Sophie unpack.

2 hours, and a lot of unpacking, later, the girls felt as if they had known each other for years. Sophie was musing over this thought while pulling the sea-green sheets onto her bed. "Oh, this is the last one!" Linh chirped triumphantly, moving towards the small blue suitcase. Sophie's mind flashed to her journals. Before she was able to come up with a way to stop Linh, a loud shriek came from the bathroom. Oh crap, Biana had been unpacking Sophie's things for the bathroom. What if she had found the- "YOU DON'T HAVE ANY MAKEUP?!?!?" the outraged Biana yelled. Sophie let out a relieved breath. "Eh...No?" She replied as Biana stormed out. "Right! You, me, Linh, Starbucks, Make-up shopping. Change, NOW!" Sophie briefly considered protesting, but the look on Biana's face quickly convinced her otherwise. So, conceding defeat, she wandered over to her beautiful wardrobe. She inconspicuously grabbed the little blue suitcase, carrying it with her. Biana walked over, her previous outrage mellowed by the prospect of shopping. She came in and surveyed Sophie's closet. It had meagre pickings to say the least. "Well, good thing my Mom works in fashion! You," she said, pointing her finger at Sophie, "need a complte wardrobe makeover!" Biana squealed, Sophie groaned and Linh rolled her eyes. Biana finally walked off to get ready, leaving Sophie with an outfit she had picked out. Sophie paused to look out the huge window. Luckily, Sophie had been assigned the only bed with a window. She vaguely remembered putting that down as a request on her application, along with single room, but that didn't exactly work out, so she had assumed her only view would be of the wall for the rest of her time here. The view of the school grounds was spectacular. The day was clear enough that she could see all the way from the edge of the forest, over to the sparkling lake. Sophie closed her eyes, and smiled sadly. Maybe, just maybe, she would like it here.

{Woohoo! Second chapter done. Updates will be fairly slow, as I live on a farm and we are currently in the middle of lambing, which is always a crazy busy time. Thank you and please leave feedback! - ThatIkeaShark}
