My first day is boring. Hindi pala pumapasok ang prof sa 1st week ng klase.
Extension daw yun sa mga gustong humabol sa enrollment at bigyan ng chance yung mga newbie na mag adjust and to find friends. I notice na walang pakialam ang mga tao dito kumbaga mind your own business ang peg nila dito which is I like kasi ang peaceful lang.
Kitang-kita ko ang kaibahan sa mundo ng mahihirap at mayayaman. Mula sa pananamit at lahat ng gamit nila ay mamahalin. Tiningnan ko ang aking sarili ang blouse na suot ko ay galing lang sa ukay-ukay ng kapit bahay namin at tinernohan ko ng skirt na black hindi ko na matandaan saan galing dahil suot ko pa ito noong Highschool.
Im walking alone in the corridors when someone called my name "Lexie!'' Luminga ako at nakita ko si L na tinatawag ako. she's running para maabotan ako.
"Hey! ikaw ha" I waited for you this morning sa living room I didnt know you go to school early buti nalang hindi kita hinitay ng matagal". she smiled.
"I didnt know you waited for me, sorry".. I said.
"Well, its fine. I didnt inform you rin naman kasi na i'll wait for you". She said smiling.
We continue walking slowly , when she stopped again and looked at me. I roled my eyes like seriously? whats her problem she looks like she's going to throw a bomb anytime kung maka tigil sa paglalakad.
''Since I waited for you this morning, how about let's have lunch at the cafeteria?" she said..
saglit akong nag-isip. Alam kong mamahalin ang school na to paano pa kaya ang mga pagkain dito, I will just eat canned goods and rice for lunch in the dormitory later. Nag-iisip ako nang makita kong nanliliit ang tingin ni L sakin.
"My Treat, since you are my first friend and youre a newbie here please" nakita nya sigurong nag-aalangan ako and she made a puppy eyes.
why not right? she's harmless naman siguro. Unfair naman kong e ju-judge ko sya agad and bait nya kaya sakin.
We are walking when i remembered, she said she will treat me since im her first friend and im a newbie here.
"uhmm L, you said im your first friend, does that mean you are also a newbie here?"she look stunned.
Iniiwas nya ang tingin sa akin. After few seconds she smiled like nothing happen. Im not sure if may gusto ba syang sabihin peru hindi ko na lang inalam nang magsimula na syang magsalita.
" This isnt my first time here actually, I visited this school with my kuya before when he was still studying in this University" she smiled.
"Ohh you have a brother pala" I said.
"How about you, tagasaan ka?" She asked again
I smiled before i
I Answer her question.
"Originally im from Casa i just came here to study in Soiree".
"Ohh ang far pala ng place nyo. but, im happy I met you Lexie" she said in sincerity.
We reached the cafeteria and I saw a lot of students. We went to the counter and ordered some food.
Nagulat naman ako sa mga presyo ng pagkain dito. Isang serve lang, tatlong kilong bigas na sa amin to jusko!. kinalabit ko si L .
" Ang mahal naman ng pagkain nyu dito L tatlong kilong bigas na ito sa amin" sabi ko..
"Ano kaba thats okay, this is my treat nga diba" she said and rolled her eyes.
Nagkibit balikat nalang ako peru nasasayangan lang talaga ako. I made L decide to order my food since sya naman ang magbabayad.
I looked for a vacant table. nakakita ako ng bakanteng misa sa sulok. I saw a man sitting near the table he is so focus with his food so I cant see his face. Siguro he is third year or fourth year base on his physical looks. I can see his hair was combed nicely. His emphasized jawline, his long nose. Maybe he is mixed blood. He's skin is.. i look at my skin nakakainsecure naman ang balat ng lalaking to, ang kinis.
I stunned, Agad bumilis ang pintig ng puso ko dahil nahuli nya kong nakatitig sa kanya, agad akong yumuko.
"gosh bat ba ako nakatitig sa kanya nakakahiya, nahuli nya kaya ako?" I murmured at myself.
Tumikhim ako ng kunti para pakalmahin ang sarili ko at nagkunwaring busy sa pagkuha ng notes ko sa bag. I got my English Enhancement book and pretended busy reading.
"ang tagal naman ni L" nagkukunwaring sabi ko, sabay sulyap sa mesa ng lalaki.
"where is he? ang bilis naman nyang matapos kumain" I said in a low voice.
" are you looking for me Miss?" I cold voice from my back said.
I stunned and touch my chest I slowly turn my head and look at the man behind me. It feels like I got hypnotized with his green eyes. His dark brows it made him look like a mad man, peru ang gwapo parin. His red lips na parang kaysarap pisilin at halikan. Ganito ba talaga pag mayaman? ang gwapo at parang mahihimatay ka sa titig nila? these are the questions in my head. when the man spoke again.
"Miss?" he said
I Inhaled deeply and calmed myself
"Uhm, excuse me? why would I look for you Mr? Do i know you?"
"No, but you look creepy starring at me" he said and sounds like teasing me..
Agad akong namula dahil totoo naman, but I wont admit that.
I laughed exxagerately and answered
" why would I stare at you Mr? HAHAHA you are so funny"
"Ok then, stop starring and we wont have a problem" he said before turning his back.
I sat down and held my chest. That was so intense para ako hinahabol ng kung ano sa lakas ng tambol ng dibdib ko.
Im still composing myself when L arrive holding a tray of food. agad nyang inilapag sa mesa ang dala nya.
" Lex, what happen why are you talking with that man, do you know him?" she said.
"Uhmm no, nagtatanong lang yun kung saan ang library". I smiled
She stared at me for a second, peru wala naman sinabi..
Im glad hindi na sya nagtanong pa. Dahil hindi ko alam kung ano ang sasabihin ko.
We ate silently after that.
