Alara walked through the halls of Hogwarts wearing a grey over-sized hoodie, some white shorts and socks, her phone in her pocket.
She was really tired, but Marlene told her she needed to tell her something 'really important', so there she was. Walking past the Hufflepuff common room and into the kitchens.
She walked in to see Marlene and Dorcas sat eating ice cream, laughing together. Alara smiled as she sat beside Marlene.
"So, what was it that was super important for me to know?" Alara smiled sleepily.
"Hello, Alara." Dorcas nodded, a faint blush on her cheeks.
"Hi Dorcas."
"So, me and Dorcas have something to tell you." Marlene nervously stated, avoiding eye contact. Alara knew that was what she did when she was nervous.
"What is it?"
Taking a deep breath, Marlene rushed out quickly. "Wearedatingandhavebeenforafewmonthsbutweweretooscaredtotellanyonesowekeptitasecret."
"Sorry?"
"W - we're dating."
Alara felt a smile creep up onto her face as she pulled Marlene into a hug. "I'm so happy for you both! I knew you liked each other."
"You're not mad?" Marlene asked.
"What for?"
"For keeping it a secret for the last few months..?"
"Oh that. Don't stress it. I'm a little shocked, but I'm not mad at you for being scared to tell me."
"Thanks." Marlene smiled, tears gathering in her eyes.
