A/N: Hai! :3 it's your cute lil' author here! just kidding i'm not cute i'm a potato. Anyways, this fanfic is based of the headcannon that everyone has a tattoo on your wrist of the first thing your soul mate will say to you when you meet. I think it's adorably cute so I suppose i'm going to have a try at writing it out.

        ~3rd person~

Smiling nervously, fourteen year old Gilbert sat in one of the stiff waiting chairs outside the doctors office. His grandfather sat to the left of him and his younger brother, Ludwig sat to his right. He bounced in his seat excitedly, his white hair bouncing and his red eyes held a happy light. His grandfather looked down at him and gave him a tiny smile, "Are you ready Gilbert? They should be calling you in soo-"

Before he could finish, the nurse opened the door, "Gilbert Beilschmidt?" Gilbert jumped up, his smile growing even wider, and looked at his brother and his grandfather, each giving the albino a reassuring nod, before he ran off to follow the nurse. The nurse led him down a couple hallways until she opened a door labeled "scanning room" and went in. In the middle of the room there was a funny looking machine with a table that slid out of the hole in the middle. Off to the side, sat a table and two chairs, where the doctor sat. Gilbert sat across from the doctor, a young man in his twenties, and the nurse left.

"Hello Gilbert, I'm Dr. Dan. All I need you to do is fill out this sheet and then we'll have you lay on the table for your tattoo sound good?" the doctor smiled handing Gilbert a clipboard with the papers and a pen. Gilbert finished the sheet fast, since it was only random questions about what you liked and why you like it and so on. He handed the clipboard back and the doctor nodded setting it on the table as he stood up.

Soon Gilbert was lying on his back on the table in a patients gown, "Stay still." the doctor said as he flicked a switch and the table moved with Gilbert into the machine. Inside the machine Gilbert saw a light scan across his body twice before it locked in on his right wrist. Gilbert kept on looking up like the doctor had told him and waited.

        And waited.

        And waited.

Something was wrong. This wasn't supposed to take this long.

The doctor flipped the switch again and Gilbert and the table came out of the machine. Gilbert sat up and looked at his wrist, where the tattoo of his soul mates first words to him would be,

        and found nothing.

~Gilbert~

" Wow Ludwig! I can't believe you found him! That's awesome!" I said as I balanced the phone between my shoulder and my ear while I placed items in my grocery basket.

My brother had just found his soul mate, and Italian boy named Feliciano. We had a hunch he would be Italian, since Ludwig's tattoo had said, " Mi scusi, but do you have any pasta?" Feliciano's had read, "I'm afraid not, this is Starbucks, not olive garden." It was funny, but it brought up something I had been trying to forget.

Finally getting off the phone,  I grabbed the rest of my grocery's and headed to the check out, trying not to think of what had happened ten years ago, Although it eventually forced its way into my mind.

Ten years ago, when I was fourteen I went to go get my tattoo of the first thing my soul mate would say to me. They put me in the machine and the machine went to go make the tattoo but it stopped. Apparently there was nothing there to tattoo. The doctor and the nurses said it was either one of two things, my soul mate had not been born yet or I simply didn't have one. My mind chose the second option.

That didn't stop me from living my life though. I still went to school, still got an education. I even went to collage. I got my own house last year and I had a cute little bird that I narcissisticly named Gilbird. I owned a chain of restaurants and the only thing I had to do was pop in occasionally and do paperwork. Other than that, I get to stay home, which I awesome, even though I get extremely bored.

Getting lost in my thoughts I accidentaly bumped into somebody who had also been wakling down the aisle. Our baskets went everywhere and we both fell onto the floor. I sat up and shook my head to clear the dizzyness. When I looked back up I saw a Canadian boy in a red flannel and jeans with blonde hair and violet eyes sticking out a hand to help me up. A blonde curl that resembled a pigs tail stuck out of his wavy hair unusally and wire glasses.

Wow.

I smiled and took his hand, " Danke beautiful, Sorry for running into you!"

He froze and stared at me his hand over his mouth, before tackling me to the ground in a hug. "Hey get off!" I said angry at him because I had hit my head again. He sat up still sitting on my lap and showed me his wrist.

"Danke Beautiful, sorry for running into you."
