Chrysanthe opened her eyes as the sun was barely touching the night sky. Her body had been conditioned to wake up before the sun. She slowly rose up from the bed, then started her small training exercises. After some sit ups, push ups, etc, she showered. Dressing up for a hunt was her goal. Brown leather pants adorned her slim legs, a white blouse on her torso. Chrysanthe braided her hair in the signature style, pulled on her gear, then proceeded to leave. Once she was dressed, she grabbed her key and cloak and headed down the stairs. Once she reached the lobby she tipped her head at the woman who owned the inn.

The cold air brushed against her scarred skin, the sun warming her up like a source of energy. Chrysanthe took a deep breath, letting the oxygen reach the outer tips of her fingers and toes.

'Time to catch the mouse.' A grin stretched across the woman's face. She started walking around the town aimlessly, gaining bits of information here and there.

"Didn't you hear? The minister was killed in a burglary last night?"

"Are we still meeting the commander for dinner?"

"Ooh yes. The MP's have all arranged a celebration tonight." This man's voice caught her attention, so she used the shadows to her advantage. As she slipped into the shadows, she crept closer and listened to the man as he spoke with his friend.

    "What do you mean celebrating?"

"Well, Commander Erwin is going to be arrested. A bunch of the MP's wanted to celebrate so they rented out my estate for the evening."

"What estate? I thought you lived in the house across from me"

"No. My grandfather, when he passed, left me an estate that I don't use. I offered it up in the hopes once my son graduates from the training regiment he'll be in the military police." The woman shielded in shadows giggled softly.

'People are so oblivious.' The woman used the shadows and followed the man who owned the estate to his house. Once he was inside, she made her move. She grabbed wrapped herself in her cloak, and kept the hood securely up. Her hair was the only thing visible. She walked to a window on the side of the house and peeked inside. The man was nowhere to be seen. The window was unlocked, ergo an easy entry. Once she was inside she crept around the house until she heard noises coming from the living room.

'Found you.' Chrysanthe was silent and made her way into the living room. Even after she entered the room, the man was oblivious to his surroundings. Chrysanthe mentally sighed and pushed the gun against the side of his head.

"Hi! My name is irrelevant, but I have a couple questions. But let me answer some of yours first. The cold thing against your head is a gun. It contains about 8 bullets, I think. There is a silencer so nobody would know if I had fired. Plus if you get too loud, I can end it pretty quickly. So, where is your estate located?" Chrysanthe's voice reached the man. The man could hear no humanity in it, and there was almost a whine when she talked.

The man gulped, and tried to move but was frozen in fear. His mouth was as dry as the dessert, beads of sweat rolled down his forehead, but he took a deep breath and answered her.

"On the outsk-skirts of town. T-There is a small lake. The estate sits on the ea-stern side of it-t." The girl grinned.

"Thank you for your service. But unfortunately, you're going to die regardless." Chrysanthe pulled the trigger. The bullet ripped a hole right through the man's skull with no sound. Blood spatter the front of her white shirt. A hum of satisfaction left her throat.

'Time to go to the party.'

Time skip~

On one side of the lake stood a small mansion. On the other side stood Chrysanthe. She could hear the music from her position. She waited for someone to come out of the house, someone drunk enough to not notice her. A man wobbled out of the house, and stumbled a couple meters until he reached a tree. This was her opening. She ran along the edge of the forest until she was within arms reach of the man.
