a strange accident

Reyna's POV

My phone rang as little Sophie did my makeup, she applied my lipstick and spoke, "Hey can i take this while you maybe work on eyeshadow?" I asked and she nodded.

(R= Reyna)

(B= Brenda)

R: Hey Brenda, what's the sich?

B: I didn't know who else to go to... I need to talk to you.

R: Yeah totally, whatever you need.

B: So Joe's brother Caspar... for the past few months we've been having a fling and just... i don't know he wants me to break up with Joe. He keeps on saying that because Joe hit me that ONE time because of... i don't want to talk about it.

R: Lord Jesus Brenda! How could Caspar ask you to break up with Joe? That's putting you in such an uncomfortable position. Maybe talk to Caspar about it.

B: that's the thing. i have but he doesnt want to talk about it... I've been talking about it with Cassiopea about it too and well... she thinks that a visit with her dad could help. He's a thearapist and deals with issues all day long.

R: i would totally go for it. I mean that could really just help you get your thoughts straight you know?

B: that's what i was thinking!

R: Otherwise I'd tell Joe that Caspar is making you uncomfortable. Maybe since you guys are seniors and both eighteen you can get a place or something.

B: Rey! Yes! I'll try the thing with the Cassie's dad... but otherwise I'd totally do that. But what if I did go for Casp?

R: Well Joe would be a wreck... but if you think that Caspar is what you want then I would try it out.

B: Yeah... well I don't know... I love Joe sooo much.

R: Well good luck! Ill talk to you later. I'm babysitting and something is up with Sophie...

B: Alrighty! Byeee!

R: Byeee!!

Sophie had left for the bathroom quickly but within my 5 minute conversation hadn't returned. I walked upstairs to go find her.

Aaron's POV

"Aaron! Help! Your house and... and Sophie... and please hurry! I'm really scared." I heard Reyna cry from the other line. The line then went dead and I panicked and then got up adn raced to my car then sped home.

-24 hours later-

I woke up with a bitter taste in my mouth in the middle of a dense wood, i felt an arm wrapped around me and as i began to gain conciousness i felt someone entirely against me. I turned down to see Reyna with a messy ponytail curled up against me. I sat up and she woke up moaning.

"Huh?" She asked and then sat up and looked around then screamed, i pressed my hands around her mouth.

"Be quiet." I whispered sharply, "I don't know where we are or who's around..." I said and then stood up, i proceeded to help her, "are you okay?" i asked concerningly.

"My back hurts a little... and i have a headache." She said rubbing her back and wincing, "so what happened? why are we here?"

"I don't know... i just remember you phone call when you were panicked..."

"What about Sophie? Where's Sophie?" She asked panicked. I shook my head and then began to get panicked, i forgot about Sophie....

"We need to find a road." I said sternly, "Do you hear any cars?" I asked, she shook her head.

"We should head North..." She said pointing, "There's bound to be something North..."

"What about West? there's always something West." I said.

"Like the ocean?" She snarled, "At least if we go North we'll find a highway."

"Fine, whatever you say princess."

She took out her phone and began typing angrily and then held it up to the sky, "there's no service... we can't call for help..."

"Maybe there's a payphone if we find a road." I pointed to her purse, "You have change right?"

"Not much... But i have some." She said nervously, "we should get going before whoever left us here finds us. "

We then began to walk out into the dense wood. The way she walked she looked like a million dollars even though we were both beat up and tired. I watched as she limped ahead of me with her purse around her shoulder. I couldnt help but admire her confident walk. It seemed as though she knew what she was doing.

"Slow up Princess! I have a bad leg." i called and she stopped then turned to me.

"We don't know the time, my phone isn't registering and it's almost dead and for all we know we could be chased by some physcho who put us here."

"I don't think so..." I said and she rolled her eyes, "I think i remember driving out here... i don't remember why... but i think we put ourselves here."

"Why would we do that?"

"Someone at the house maybe?"

"Maybe." She said, "but then where's the car?"

"North? Maybe that's why you wanted to go North."

"Maybe."

Reyna's POV

"I'm hungry." Aaron moaned, "please tell me you have some magic purse that can give us food."

"I'll check." I said and stopped then began to dif through my unorganized purse. I found six granola bars that I was saving for after tennis practice and some gum that i took from Brenda a few days ago. I handed him a granola bar, "Here..."

"Thanks." he said and then he looked up and got a smile on his face, "Reyna! A pathway!"

I ran up close to him and we both looked down at the path, "Which way?" i asked and he pointed east.

"I think i've been here before." He said, "I'm pretty sure that the yellow path leads up to a parkinglot or something."
"really? how do we get out then? how far are we?" I asked excitedly, I got so excited.
"I don't know like a ten minute walk." he shrugged.
we began to walk down the pathway, it got darker as we walked which made me uncomfortable.
when I was little my mom used to lock me in a closet at night because I had nightmares. I now sleep with all of the lights on in my room in the basement in my house. she's not home much now though because she works at a 24 hour cafe and works the night shifts.
she was great though, whenever she got mad she always take me shopping and she always had great boy advice.
I used to date this guy named Troye, but we broke up because he liked Cassiopea who was this girl in my science class with Brenda and I.
I walked a little closer to aaron and rested my head on his shoulder as we walked, he put his arm around my shoulder and rubbed it.
"you cold?" he asked.
I nodded my head and he rubbed my shoulder.
"me too. we should be close though." he said.
we continued to walk and then an opening came through the trees and we saw the car. Aaron ran ahead and went into the car, he started the engine and I jumped in. he smiled at me, "let's take you home."
