Friday, the perfect night to go to the casino- at
least for Kenma it was.

A game of poker against someone he could hardly care about, his boyfriend as the dealer; and himself of course, easily reading his opponent.

"And the winner is once again, Kenma!" Kuroo announced, earning cheers and sighs from the crowd surrounding them. The loser looked down at his hands in shame but Kenma hardly felt any remorse.

"That means you'll be owing me 7,000 yen, Mr. Tamayata." Kenma says, and Mr.Tamayata pulls out out the yen, dejectedly walking away from the crowd.

"Thank you sir." Kenma nods as he tugged on his ring finger which signaled his boyfriend that he wanted to leave.

"Alright folks, that's it for tonight! Until next time." Kuroo exclaimed, earning protests from the crowd who had still wanted to challenge Kenma.

"Not yet- wait, Kenma-san!"

"Please, just one more game!"

"I'll bet 9,000 yen!"

Pleads and high bets were heard everywhere, but "The Great Gambler Kenma" took his leave with Kuroo trailing close behind. Kenma and Kuroo didn't come around often, but when they did, they would only do about 2-3 games before leaving. They were an unstoppable duo.

"The most mysterious gambling couple in Tokyo" people say. Nobody even knows if "Kenma" and "Kuroo" were their first or last names.

Kuroo was overwhelmingly skilled. He had a great poker face, almost like he knew he'd already won. Kenma on the other hand, was just a dangerous player.

In addition to also having a great poker face, he also made smart, quick decisions. The scariest part was that he could read his opponents just by looking into their eyes, and no matter how good your poker face was, he could read you.

Kuroo, his boyfriend, was the only person he could never read.

Kuroo opened the passenger door for Kenma and drove off to someplace quieter. Once they got to Angie's Bar, they got to talking. People were giving them strange looks because of the shady clothes they wore; Kenma wore a white button up shirt, with black dress pants and a black tie. Kuroo on the other hand wore a black suit with a gray tie and jacket. On top of that, they were decked with jewelry.

"Good game Kenma." the man had said, trying to mask his anguish with good sportsmanship.

"Yeah, you were probably one of the hardest guys I've ever played against." Kenma replied with a shrug. "Anyways, you still owe me 10,000 yen."

"10,000 I-" the man stammered, wiping his sweaty hands against his jeans as he got on his knees, looking up at Kenma with pleading eyes, "I don't have the money right now, just- please give me more time, and I swear I'll get it!"

Kenma, feeling a bit of pity for the man that was currently on his knees, decided to be merciful for once. "Fine, since this was such a good game, I'll give you two weeks. You better have it by then."

"Thank you- thank you so much! I promise you won't regret it. You'll have your money in two weeks, you have my word!" The man exclaimed as he gets up, practically scrambling out of the casino.

His attention is stolen by someone calling his name-

"Kenma!"

"Hey Kenma!!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Kenma! Hello!?" Kuroo shouted, waving his arms directly in front of his boyfriend.
Kenma snapped back into reality. "Uh- yeah, what were we talking about?" Kenma asked nervously, not realizing how lost in thought he'd gone.
"Are you still thinking about him?" Kuroo asked worryingly.
"Yeah, I almost lost 10,000 yen to him. He was experienced, alright."
"It's all in the past now, Ken Ken-"
"Shh- KUROO! Don't say that out loud!" whisper shouted Kenma as he covered the other man's mouth.
Kuroo chuckled and pulled out a cigarette from the box out of his pocket. "But it's true. He still owes you the yen. We get money, so win win, right?"
Kenma pulled out a lighter from his pocket and lit the cigarette. Kuroo inhaled the toxins first, then passed it to Kenma to smoke some as well, alternating the cigarette between one another.
"I guess that's true." Kenma replied, taking another drag of the cigarette before exhaling the smoke.
"Who was that guy anyway," Kuroo asked, scratching the back of his head "I don't remember."
"I remember him having honey blonde hair- tall, thin, not much older than you or me. I didn't catch his name though." Kenma tells him, looking outside the window.
The stars looked so beautiful tonight. If only the lights of buildings, casinos, and other places could stop covering the stars' natural light.
"Hmm," Kuroo hummed, thinking. "Hey, do you know when the next meeting is?"
"I think tomorrow night, 9:15 pm. It's at the new base by Parkridge Ave." Kenma said.
"Wow, I got myself a lucky boyfriend." Kuroo joked, sounding shocked as if Kenma was the only one who could remember the exact address.
"No. You're just dumb and can't remember things."
"Uh, how cruel!" Kuroo groaned, clutching the area over his heart, feigning hurt. "So we found a new place, huh?"
"Yeah, after what happened back in Ichikawa, we couldn't afford going back there. Boss said it was too risky."
Kenma yawned and Kuroo knew it was time for them to go home. But after suddenly remembering something, he whispers it to Kenma, who agrees.
"The most mysterious gambling couple in Tokyo" left the bar at 1:26 am.
