how does a star shine?
even tho they're way up in the cold
they stand out and glow,
how do they still twinkle at night?
do they ever get tired?
or do they perhaps take a break at dawn?
are they alive and just watching us?
or are they lifeless just like what i feel now?
thoughts, thoughts,
spinning all around,
when will they settle down?
