Chapter 4

The autobots all regrouped at the base following their battle against MECH.

(Novascreen Prime POV)

Novascreen Prime talked at the other autobots about what happened with MECH.

Novascreen Prime turned his attention to Jack who was leaning against the wall with his hood up and just staring into space.

"Hey buddy are you ok?" Novascreen Prime asked Jack as he walked up to him.

"Yeah, I'm just thinking of a way to save my mom and the others." Jack said with his voice a bit quieter.

"Don't worry Jack, we'll save them." Novascreen Prime said giving him a small smile.

"Thanks." Jack said returning the smile.

Just then an alert came from the device that Ratceht was typing away on.

"What is it?" Ultra Magnus asked as all the autobots turned their attention to Ratchet.

"I just picked a large surge of energy from a relic, I'm unsure of what the relic is, but whatever it is it's strong." Ratchet said.

"Come on a mission will get your mind off that stuff." Novascreen Prime said as he nudged Jack.

Jack just gave him a small smile in response amused with Novascreen Prime's actions.

"No Novascreen Prime you're not going on the mission." Ratchet said.

"What why not?" Novascreen Prime asked upset.

"Because we're going to do this covertly and quietly." Ratchet said.

"Are you saying I'm not quiet?" Novascreen Prime yelled.

"You're proving his point." Moonracer said as she pulled him away from Ratchet.

"So who is going Ratchet?" Prowl asked.

"It's going to be Elita, Ironhide, Sideswipe, Jazz, Jack and myself." Ratchet said.

"Are you sure you'll be ok in field doc?" Wheeljack asked.

"I'll be fine, I'm just there to figure out what the relic is and grab it." Ratchet said.

"Ok Red Alert you will be in charge of the ground bridge, Bumblebee you will run comms, and Chromia you will be on spark signals." Ratchet said as the 3 of them nodded.

Ever since the group had been announced Elita 1 had glaring at Jack. She would have asked Ratchet to switch the group, but she knew Ratchet wouldn't change his mind, so she just went with it.

"Ok let's go." Ratchet said as the ground bridge opened and the others followed him through the group bridge.

(Apollus Prime POV)
The Groupon autobots appeared in a canyon with the relic sitting right in the middle of it.

"It can't be this easy can it?" Jazz asked.

"Only one way to find out." Apollus Prime said as he led the way over to the relic.

Ratchet examined the relic once they made it to the relic.

"So what's the deal with it Ratchet?" Elita 1 asked.

"I do not know this relic it's interesting." Ratchet said.

As he said this a crack appeared in the relic.

Ratchet saw this and his optics widened.

"Everyone get back!" Ratchet yelled as he still held the relic.
