Life

I ran through the field

Without a second thought

I lifted up my dress

And ran barefooted throughout the grass

The sun shone down on me

As I breathed in the dry air

I could smell the flowers around me

The scenery whipped past me

I smiled for the first time In forever

But I stopped

This isn’t real

I opened my eyes, not realizing that they were closed

I began to cry

I knew I would never be free

Until I admitted to my self

"That life was just a beautiful lie"
