A dance with the devil

I danced with him

Through day and night

Sometimes I was in control, sometimes him

But we danced

And swayed

And sung with our hearts desire

But our thoughts were different

I wanted love, he wanted lust

I was the innocent, he was the sinner

His mind and heart were black, with dark thoughts

We loved different things

Until finally I gave in

He consumed me

I belong to him, forever

Because of one night, I decided life was enough

And he took it away from me

Now I am with him

But we no longer dance and sing

He just soaks up any happiness that I would ever have

For I made the mistake of dancing with the devil
