When Kuroo got to the bakery Hinata was sitting on the sidewalk waiting. Hinata was smiling "Hey, Kuroo!" He waved his hand in the air so Kuroo could see him. "Hey Hinata, sorry for the wait." Hinata stood up, "Oh, it's fine I just got here a few minutes ago anyway." They both went inside the bakery and were looking around, Hinata spotted the apple pie and pointed at it. Kuroo reached to grab the pie and took it to the register to pay, "Will this be all?" the cashier held the pie in their hands and put it in a box. "Yeah, that's it." They put tape on the sides of the box, "Okay, that'll be $15.23, sir." Kuroo put his hands in his pockets looking for the money to pay, Hinata realized Kuroo was struggling to find his money so he checked his pockets to see if he had any. "Here Kuroo!" Hinata handed Kuroo $20, "Hinata, that's really nice of you but I'm pretty sure I brought my money. It should be here somewhere...", "Just take it, you probably left your money at home or something." Kuroo took the money from Hinata and gave it to the cashier. "Alright then, I guess I owe you one." The cashier gave some money back, a receipt, and handed the box to Kuroo. "Come again soon and have a nice day!" Hinata waved at the cashier and left the store with Kuroo. "So, where is Kenma's house?" Hinata had never seen or gone to Kenma's house and he also hadn't seen him since the last game they had, which was about a month or two ago...so he was really excited to see him! "He doesn't live that far away from me actually...maybe like a block or two away?" Kuroo's voice was cracking constantly because of how nervous he was about seeing Kenma after what he had done. "Look! The sun's setting already, it's 5:27." Kuroo turns around to look at Hinata, "Really? What time was it when you left practice?" Hinata looked at Kuroo, "Like 2:18 I think." They had been out for 3 hours, it had felt like only 30 minutes had gone by! "In that case, we should hurry up and get to Kenma's house before it gets dark." While they were walking, they started catching up which each other in school and how things were in volleyball. They had finally arrived at Kenma's house, He let Hinata ring the door bell so that the person who opened the door wouldn't see Kuroo. The doorbell rang two times and no one answered, as Hinata was about to ring it for the third time, but Kenma had opened the door.
