Practice

It was incredibly difficult, Y/n would probably say it was one of the hardest things he had ever done in his life, and that was including trying to have a semi-civil conversation with his father, and that turned out rather poorly. They had all arrived in Motostoke a few hours ago, things were actually going quite well for once, since they were all on schedule, and completing the Gym circuit before the League started sounded likely.

"Concentrate!" Viciously snapped Jackie, she along with the rest of Y/n's Pokémon were with him, training to get stronger so they could face the third Gym together, while Y/n was practicing his aura control. "I've seen freshly hatched Riouls have better control!" Hauntingly taunted Jackie, watching Y/n shake as he balanced on top of the lake's surface, desperately trying to maintain balance, and not get soaked again.

"I am! You're having Deino blast the water near me!" Annoyedly growled Y/n, after learning how to balance on top of a still lake, that barely had a current, Jackie decided to up his aura control training by a tonne, and was doing her best to replicate the ocean. 

"I am sorry about this savior, but I can see the brat's point, you must get stronger as well, and as much as it pains me to potentially hurt you, I must so you can grow." Apologetically roared Deino, Y/n was fairly certain the Dragon/Dark type would have been crying if he had eyes, but Y/n only nodded his head in acceptance. "Plus when will you find a mate?" Curiously inquired Deino, pausing for a brief moment, allowing Y/n to catch his breath before realizing what Deino asked.  

"Acuck!?" Loudly spluttered Y/n, losing the minimal control he had on his aura and plummeted into the water beneath him, quickly encasing his hands in aura as he broke the water's surface, planting them on the water's surface and successfully pulled himself up. "Where did this come from?" Curiously asked Y/n, his hair dripping down far enough to cover his eyes, as he slowly coated the rest of his body in aura, allowing the teen to lay on the surface of the still water.

"Curiosity mainly, I can tell that you have something going on with Gloria and Marnie, so I was wondering if one of them will lay an egg soon." Bluntly admitted Deino, vaguely aware of the fact that Y/n was dragging his right hand across his face.

"Humans don't lay eggs, they are a complete different race of beings compared too us." Amusedly corrected Herba, taking a few minutes break from her own training, as she watched her trainer slowly dragged himself off of the water, and onto the sandy shore near him. "Is.... that Yeller?" Curiously questioned Herba, her mouth hanging open as she watched Luck, who was using Spark chase after a concentrated ball of purple electricity in the trees, well aware of the fact that the strongest electric type move a Toxel could learn was Nuzzle.

"Wow, he has actually managed to release all of the toxins in his body at once." Proudly noted Y/n, feeling  the buzz of weak electricity in the air, as Yeller was busy waddling in the tree branches, and leaping from branch to branch. "I knew that Toxels had extremely conductive toxins in their bodies, but for them to actually boost his electrical power by this much." Idly noted Y/n, quickly picking himself up off of the floor and shaking his head, allowing droplets or water to fly around the area.

"Y/n, how were you standing on the water?" Curiously questioned a familiar voice, making Y/n grin as he recognized the voice in an instant, well aware of the owner of the voice, since he had texted her a few hours ago, tell her of his location.

"Hey Sonia, I guess we have a bit of catching up to do." Sheepishly chuckled Y/n, rubbing the back of his neck as he turned around, giving the professor's assailant a million watt smile, as he nodded at Jackie and Deino. "You guys can spar for a bit if you want. I am going to talk to Sonia for a while." Happily commented Y/n, plopping himself down onto the grass, as Jackie shook her head from side to side, walking away from Y/n and Deino, most likely heading off to find Pinky.
