Outside of school

No one's POV

Drew, Jake, Henry and Liam were stood outside the school as usual, waiting for the bell to ring.
"I keep telling you dude, Stacy is WAY hotter than her mom!!" Henry shouted.
Drew rolled his eyes and continued to play on his phone whilst Jake watched the other two boys fight.
"I still don't think she is..." Liam replied, I slight smile crept up his face.
Henry groaned at him and turned away.
Liam laughed a little, Jake soon laughed too.
"Just stop talking about Stacy's mom.." Henry murmured under his breath.
Jake heard him and immediately smirked.
"Jealous Henry?" He quietly giggled.
"Shut up." Henry snapped.
It wasn't long before Zoey and Lia walked past, Jake looked over at Drew in concern.

Drew's POV

"I've got to apologise..." I thought to myslef. I took a deep breath.

"Hey erm, Zoey, Lia?" I began.

The two girls turned round. Zoey crossed her arms and Lia put her hand on her hip and said, "What is it?"

I gulped. "Uh, I owe you two an apology..."

Both the girls looked in shock, so did my three friends.

"You what?!" Zoey gasped.

"For yesterday. I shouldn't have shouted at you like that. I'm sorry." I blurted out.
I'd done it now, but we're they going to accept it?

Afew seconds later, Zoey's shocked face turned into a warm smile. Therefore, so did Lia's. "Thanks Drew." Zoey grinned.

"Erm, no problem.." I answered, "so, can we be friends?"

"Of course we can!" She chirped.

She gave me a little hug. I was so relieved that we could still be friends and all get along. I thought I'd completely lost her.

The two girls walked off as quickly as they had come.
"Good job on apologising Drew." I heard Jake say.
"Thanks." I responded. A little red appeared on my cheeks.
Just then, the bell rang.
"Lets go guys!" Liam exclaimed.
"Beat you to class!" Henry shouted as he ran off.
"Oh it's on!" Liam giggled as he chased after him.
"They act just like a couple." Jake remarked.
"They sure do." I laughed.
"Lets go." Jake said.
I nodded as we walked side by side to our first class.

One week later

Liam's POV

Recently, I couldn't stop thinking about Henry. I knew exactly why. For the past week or so, I'd been planning to confess to him. I just didn't know when...or how. I thought I could just tell him, but that backfired as quick as the idea came to me.
I had decided that I'd wait till Friday, but now the day had come, I was rethinking on telling him today. I knew if I waited till later, I'd chicken out again.

"Just do it today before you have second thoughts." I thought to myslef, "and if he does reject me, tell him its a joke, that way our friendship won't be ruined."

I smiled to myslef. Today I was going to finally do it, and phase one started right now.

At school

Henry's POV

I ran up to school, I was super late because I overslept.

"Cmon Henry run faster!!" I thought to myslef as I tried to pick up more speed.

Finally, I got to school. I went to get my books out of my locker, knowing I'd already missed my tutor. As I went to open the door, a note came flying out of it. I instantly picked it up to see what it was.
It read:

My cheeks went red. Could he be doing what I think he's doing? No. He couldn't. He's my best friend. Attached to the note, there was a map of the school. A tree at the back of the school was circled in red marker pen.

"Guess I'll see you there then..." I smiled.

For the whole day, Liam had tried to avoid me. Every time I tried to talk to him, he said that he'd got to go do something and quickly ran away. Jake and Drew just looked at eachother smirking and laughing quietly.
"What are you guys laughing at?" I had asked them.
"Oh, nothing at all Henry~" Jake sniggered.
"Yep," Drew laughed, "nothing wrong here."
I just looked at them and walked off.

End of the day

I'd waited all day long for school to finally end. I couldn't wait to meet Liam under the tree. As soon as the teacher dismissed us, I ran to my locker to grab my things, messily put them in my bag and ran off towards the tree. I felt a bit of sweat trickling down my face by the time I'd got there. Liam was already there, nervously waiting for me.
"Hey dude." I called as I approached him.
"Oh, hey bro." He happily, yet anxiously replied.
"You wanted to meet me here?" I questioned.
"Oh, um, y-yeah.." he stuttered, slight blush appeared on his face.
We stood there for a minute or so, each waiting for the other to say something.
I nervously giggled, waiting in anticipation for what was about to happen.
"So erm..." he began, "I wanted you to come here...so I could talk to you."

"Talk to me?" I thought to myself.

"Ok, what did you want to talk about?" I asked as I sat down next to him.
He looked at me for afew seconds. He was clearly nervous.
"Well, I uh..." he stammered.
I gave him a comforting smile.
"I know it might not be the best time since it's only been a week since Lia and Zoey got together but..." he said, "I erm..like you Henry..."

My heart raced. A million thoughts fled through my mind. I was shocked, yet so happy that he liked me.

"Well, I erm..like you too." I blushed.
His eyes widened.
"So um, do you want to maybe be...you know..." he said.
I beamed at him.
"YES!!" I exclaimed as I hugged him, causing him to fall over.
He laughed and smiled at me.
"Oh, sorry." I giggled.
"Thats alright." He said as I got up and held out my hand so he could stand.
We both looked at eachother again. This time, neither of us were nervous though. We were just very happy.

Afew minutes later, our eyes broke contact. Liam edged closer to me. I did the same until we were inches away from touching. He put his hand on my cheek and leaned in to my face. Then, his lips met mine. My heart beat faster and faster as I went into the kiss aswell. Afew moments later, we broke the kiss, though I could've kissed him forever.

We both blushed and smiled.

"I've just had my first kiss," I thought to myself, "and even better, I'd shared it with Liam!"

"I love you." Liam whispered.
"I love you too!" I grinned.
