Llama Drama

My job as an animal locator improved with time. Soon I met others in my same position and we quickly became friends. Overall I was enjoying my job.

I just finished locking up a few cows that have decided to roam the streets when I heard a co-worker of mine call for help over the radio. "I am about a mile into the woods. I need assistance."

Why are you a mile into the woods? That was my first thought.

I asked him where he was and of course, he didn't know.

I quickly asked for them to show me in route to my coworker. They mapped where his vehicle was but keep in mind he was a mile into the woods.

As I was driving towards my partner's car, from the corner of my eye I saw my coworker jumping up and down behind someone's fence.

So I pulled over.

Once I approached the fence I saw my partner smiling at me pointing at llamas. Not one llama. Not two llamas. Four llamas.

Now the question I have for you all is, who has four llamas? Why?

"I have a plan." My partner told me. Clearly, I do not trust my partner at this point because he has officially got cornered by four llamas, but at this point, I'm gamed.

My partner told me to go up a half mile into the woods and stand at the break-in trees and turn the llamas down a man-made path. As I was walking through the woods I was desperately trying to figure out how to turn the llamas.

Before I could figure out a plan I heard my partner yell "YAH!" I turned to see four llamas charging at me. Like full-speed charging. So I screamed.

Thankfully the sound of pure terror was enough to turn the llamas. Now my coworker continued his chase of the llamas and yelled "Come on."

So I followed him.

We sprinted after these llamas deeper and deeper into the woods. No questions asked. Granted the llamas couldn't really answer our questions.

The whole time my partner was screaming "YAH!" I couldn't stop laughing. Who hired this idiot?

We followed them all the way to the back gate of a farm. My partner quickly opened the gate letting the llamas inside.

We decided to follow the llamas inside to try to find an owner. We saw different types of animals on this farm.

As we walked the back half of the farm the strangest thing happened. From the corner of my eye I saw a large white figure emerge from the tree line. I completely turned to see a horse on its hinge getting ready to attack me.

I screamed.

My scream triggered a family of ducks to fly up from their pond scaring my partner and the horse. That brief moment allowed an opening for me and my partner to run away from the farm.

"I hope they live there." My partner said as we ran away from the unsupervised farm.

I hope so too because I had no intentions of going back.
