Mercy:

I was sitting in a private lounge of a hotel, sipping on some blue lagoon. A business associate from Greece wanted to discuss a few things. We have opened a new mall in partnership with them. Though it was a small project, I mean I have forgotten the number of mall owners we have partnership with. So I didn't personally have to come. But the other  party has some prestige in their home land. On top of that, they offered some benefits to the deal just to have a personal meeting with me.

Since it is profiting, I didn't see a problem in  taking out half an hour of my time. But guess what? The other side is late...By 16 minutes and 8 seconds. And each and every second of mine is precious.

I ordered some italian style pink pasta and some salads. I better eat in this time. I have promised the kids to take them to the new water park in the afternoon. I doubt I'll have time to eat once I'm with the kids.

The door of the lounge opened with a force, though it didn't make a bang because well, it was one of those modern door that doesn't actually male noise and a young girl in the latest season Gucci dress walked in. She looked at me arrogantly before saying. "So you are the famous Mercy Donavon? Heard a lot about you."

I raised am eyebrow and looked at my secretary. "Alexandra Williams. Granddaughter of the current dutch of Greece. We had an appointment with her." He informed me.

I nodded. Looking at the other party, it's pretty obvious that they don't have any friendly talks in mind.

"13 minutes and 4 seconds" I said looking at my watch.

"Excuse me?" She asked looking at me weirdly.

"That is the time you have for the proposition talks, otherwise I'm out of here." I said looking at her as I took sla sip from my drink.

"You dare limit my time? Do you even know who I am?" She roared.

"For me? You just a small time client who we have a little collaboration with. Someone not even important enough for me to personally discuss things. One of my underlings would have been enough. Buy since you gave us quite a huge benefits for my personal visit, which by the way do flatter me, we will talk about what you wanna discuss. Now, you have… 11 minutes and 32 seconds, please be quick." I replied, my face still expressionless.

"You.... How could you.... Do you even know who.... You peasant." I the end she shrieked.

"Says the woman who had to spend millions just to get a meeting with me." I said with slight, cold but mocking smirk. The kind that never fails in angering the opponent to death.

"You whore. You homewrecker. I should have known that an adopted daughter, a commoner will be like you, a slut with no shame. Even after being married you wanna seduce someone else's fiancé. This is just the effect of the dirty blood that runs in your veins." She screamed.

Oh, she's finally here. I must say, she came real quick. Only a day has passed since I was informed about her.

Fiancée of Marko. The woman I am paid monumentally to keep away from Marko. Didn't think I'll meet her so soon. That too with extra benefits.

Nice.

"Says the woman who can only enjoy a luxurious life because her family adopted a girl." I gave a disdainful snort. "Says the woman who wants to force herself to another man. Says the woman who doesn't care that her fiancé already had a girlfriend yet shamelessly got engaged with him." I kept my face blank but the shear contempt I had for this woman was something that was clear for everyone to see.

Third person:

Alexandra looked at the woman in front of her with intense hate. She had been in love with Marko ever since she could remember. He was handsome, hot and was a noble born just like her. On top of that, he was talented enough to be recognised as the heir apparent by the patriarch and matriarch of the family. Marko Gutenberg was a man capable enough to stand next to her. No one else could ever match.

Only after a lot of begging to her grandfather and after the elders of the family pulling a lot of strings and allowing a lot of profits did the Gutenberg family agree to this relationship. She was on cloud nine when she heard that she was now engaged to Marko. Only to hear that he had a girlfriend. What was even more unfathomable was that it was an adopted daughter of some commoner, on top of that a married woman.

Alexandra's heart was filled with hate and unwillingness. Why? On what basis could this woman who was below her in every aspect have the man she desperately wanted?

She wanted to show that slut how much below her she actually was. That how above her inconsequential existence was she, a noble princess. She thought what awaited her was a humble looking fake Mary Sue who would silently take in all her insults while crying beautifully. She arranged everything for this occasion. Even now, the elders of both the family were watching what was going on in the room through the hidden camera and mic that she already installed into the room. She wanted to let everyone know what kind of a worthless junk Marko had chosen for himself.

How would she have known that the person she wanted to meet so desperately was so much different from her expectations. Even if she hated to admit it, but the truth was that this woman was, in actual fact, way above her. Just standing in her presence made people feel a pressure. Her presence alone demanded attention, a demand which was very hard to ignore. Her beauty was not seductive of soft, rather it was cold and ruthless kind of beauty. A kind that made men want to make het submit.

Her bood boiled with jealousy. When she set up this meeting, her heart was only burning with jealousy and indignation. But now it burnt with envy, envy so profound that her body shivered with the intense feeling. "You are nothing but a mistress. You will never be anything more than that." Alexandra seethed.

Mercy sighed at her words. Getting up from her seat, she went to Alexandra and gave a tight slap to her. Mercy was never known for patience. After all these years in business world, if she has learned anything, then it is how to identify people. And the person standing in front of her was clearly the unreasonable coward type. Such people doesn't listen to reasons. Such people doesn't listen to logic. These are the typical pampered princesses that only understand pure and absolute power play.
